Hm, well then I guess Windows is running out of the maximum set amount of virtual memory. Which means you have too many (or too big) programs running. Bring up the task manager (ctrl+alt+del) and see how much free memory you have.

this happens to me when i start a new game on fm :D
Are you running a load of other stuff too? Is you computer's RAM large enough for FM (or only just the recommended minimum)?

no, not really as far as i remember

actually its my friends laptop, 256mb ram. also i think some part is taken by video card.
Okay, next time it happens, open up the task manager, look at the cpu load. If it's suspiciously high with nothing running, your friend probably has a virus or one thousand.

That's way low for a giant like FM. Windows itself already uses half that amount or more, which means the memory FM needs is drawn from virtual memory (= disk space) which is much, much slower.

No, the video card has a memory of its own, it doesn't interfere with the RAM.

No with FM running. FM does actually suck up all the cpu cycles, even when it's just sitting there idle. I've no idea why.

I was assuming it had crashed out of FM. Are you sure about that? I can run CM 01/02 on something like that without problems, though it's slow as anything with multiple leagues.

Yes, it's an astonishing behavior I noticed with CM4 and since then it's always been like that, I don't know why.

snoop, was this screenshot taken at the same time you were getting those messages about low memory? Cause everything looks fine to me. Your page file (virtual memory) is only used by 280mb, which is quite normal. Unless you set the pagefile to a limit of say 300mb yourself?

no I'm checking these now,not the time the pop up appeared.I didn't set any limit to anything, don't know how to.
I think I saw this message twice in 3 months maybe, after I formated my Pc. I saw it when I left my Pc open like 30 hours, when I came back I saw the pop up.
BTW, I have problem when i start the PC.it takes a lot of time to show the icons on the taskbar (close to the clock),it first shows the antivirus disabled then enabled after like 1 or 2 minutes.is it normal, and by that time I can't run any program like it is freezed or something

A lot of programmes these days preload themselves on startup. That sounds like it could just be that. Martin would be a better man to talk to about looking at it though.

I would disable all except ccApp and ccRegVfy which I think belong to Norton AntiVirus. You should also check the other tabs, there's probably more.
