Its nuts isnt it, when you cant play weah or mbangula. Both of them had the pace and agility to cause problems.
A sad time when we are counting on Weah and Mbangula to make a difference.

Weah maybe would do better than Kostic/Costa, I wouldn't say it is a big upgrade especially on Costa who had a decent game. I'd prefer Mbangula to Nico or Koop.

The only positives were Thuram, Locatelli and Di Gregorio. Kalulu and Rugani did alright, neither being at fault during Real's goal.

Many were average to poor, but Kostic looks completely out of his depth. Koopmeiners has zero confidence. Conceicao is, as we already knew, a one trick pony vs good opposition.

Koopmeiners is always a minus one, playing him is like playing with 10 man, then kelly/kostic, that's 9 man, and today we had cambiaso on too so 8 man.

Yes 8 man Juve vs 11 man Real, this copium is convincing me we should be proud with our shit.:vodka:

I think it was always unrealistic to expect more from this squad, even when we had our clear chances to turn the game on it’s head and start an upset we just wasted it nonchalantly and slowly let out heads drop, then went on with making questionable subs that largely confirmed that we are already content with going home, basically accepting that this is simply as far as this team is capable to go, otherwise no doubt that plenty of key reinforcements are needed before hoping to see any better.

We faced out of the game unfortunately, looked exhausted.

We needed to take our chances in the first half where I thought we played really well. Yildiz was great in that first half. Let's just get ready for the season proper and get our mercato going.

1. We lost because of Guintoli. Conceicao, Yildiz, and Muani are plenty if you have a decent CM who can get forward. It totally disrupts the opposition having that goal scoring CM. I saw Khedira on the show and think that someone like McTominay would transform us. How we got Luiz, Koopmeiners, and Nico yet all are junk is abnormal and they cannot play for us again. Also, once Yildiz disappears from the game, who would take over and become a goal threat? Surely you need that attacking midfielder to step up. Guintoli is an absolute criminal for this because our defence suffers badly from his transfers.
2. I've been saying that we need pace and versatility so Weah and Mbangula would've been far better than Kostic and Nico. We're chasing the game and it's not acceptable to make those subs. On a tight budget, you keep players with versatility, pace, and youth because we'll get injuries and suffer fatigue. You cash in on Kostic and Nico and give a shot to the hungry players. When Nico is repeatedly shit, Mbangula should get minutes ahead of him.
3. You can't play 3 at the back against big clubs unless you have BBC with Evra and Lichtsteiner. Play 4 at the back and it gives you flexibility to put extra DM yet keep some attacking intent. You can't win these games when you're forced back all game, especially when you sub your most exciting players off.
4. Tudor needs a hard think about his formation and tactics. That's two consecutive games where he came short with his stubborn decisions. Madrid reacted in the second half and closed out the game comfortably.

2nd half was so poor and such a different in quality you could even feel bad for some of our poor guys out there.

What I don’t understand is how we look like a dead fish around 50 mins while Madrids players looked fit and won every duel. Certainly there’s a gap in quality I can accept what I don’t accept is if we can’t keep up physically. That shit is embarrassing

We can see clearly no drive from both midfield and both WB from us

Thuram pretty good in 1st half, with 4 players pinned in our midfield we can't attack and always worry of their movement

As bad as Motta were at least he win against top side City 2-0, Merda 1-0

For me we should go with Gasperini while we have a chance before he go to Roma. His formation almost the same, but his free flowing attack far better than Tudor. At least they play not like chicken

I hate when we are already at side of penalty box and in 3 passes the ball back to the keeper ffs
