Poulsen was damn expensive for a sub in a position that wasn't a priority in strengthening. Andrade was just a stupid signing.
He wasn't a priority but we will need him in the 5 year plan anyway. It isn't like anyone here would want the only alternative: Stankovic.

So, in this case, was Xabi Alonso supposed to be Sissoko's sub?
Alonso was supposed to be a starter(vs Zanetti or Tiago). He costs twice as much as Poulsen so the expectation is different.

The thing is: there are enough points to attack Ranieri. There is no need to invent stuff up.

Didn't Ranieri buy Poulsen as a starter? I'd find it difficult to believe that they bought Poulsen for 10 million euros for him to sit on the bench behind Sissoko.

Of course they bought Poulsen as a starter. They wanted a powerful midield Sissoko-Poulsen, but Poulsen flopped. Marchisio's unexpected performances saved their asses.

Without a massive injection of Funds to buy players, this team will not win the Scudetto for quite awhile, even with a tip top new coach.
Untrue.
AZ managed to win the Eredivisie with van Gaal. Just look at what Guus Hiddink did with some smaller clubs and countries (dont count Chelsea with it).

A coach is the very foundation of a squad. He needs to be involved with every aspect of the game. He needs to have the guts to change his tactics during games when it doesn't work.
Ranieri just doesn't know how to handle that. He has some sort of 'perfect' tactic in his mind and he always plays the same (very predictable). So when we're losing or drawing at HOME, he sometimes opts for the 4-3-3. The funny thing is that it seems like he actually doesn't know what he's doing, because we are not getting more dangerous at all.
He hopes for the best and for a goal, so he can cry in the media of how he changed his tactics and it worked out all very well.

He is one of the strangest coaches I've ever seen... he's so predictable and his starting 11 and substitutions don't make sense to anyone.

edit:
We would have asked for his sacking a LOT earlier, if it wasn't for some Del Piero magic that got us through the CL group phase.

Nobody said that. Ranieri certainly didn't. Mellberg was a sub. Poulsen was always meant to be Sissoko's sub. Andrade was the answer but he didn't recover.
Yes he did say Mellberg was the last piece of the defensive puzzle, hence not buying any other players. And he said that Poulsen was a better player than Alonso, he had no intention of using him as Momo's sub I have no idea where you are getting that from, he expected them to play together.

Andrade was not the answer considering he hadn't played football in 2 years. Stop being so idiotic and defending people that don't deserve to be defended

OMG dont even get me started on Knezebitch - WTF is a Knezevic??? The player that conceded 60 goals for livorno, and the player that we battled with torino to gain his signature. What a joke

Where the fuck is everyone getting the news that the Diego deal is off?
It better not be. Although I have a huge worry that there may be a clause built into it that states if we dont gain automatic qualification for the CL the deal will be void... I hope this is not true and i hope we do though

Knezevic was brought in on loan as emergency cover for Andrade, whose fitness was doubted at the time.

You may criticize the management for some of their transfers (and rightly so) but not the Knezevic deal.

Claudio Ranieri is a footballing terrorist. He's hijacked the team and holding players such as Giovinco hostage for the betterment of nobody. He's not unlike the 9/11 hijackers as far as I'm concerned. Ranieri's job is to systematically take down each level of the team, starting with the youngsters and moving towards the established players like Alex Del Piero, all the while being careful not upset his Inter Milan masters. This terrorism needs to be stopped and people need to be brought to justice for this nonsense.
