i swear that if david leaves us for any club then i am going to attribute his departure to this guy. i want ranieri's head on a platter along side secco's. these 2 have single handedly ruined one of the best professional sports franchises in the world -- instead of rebuilding.

i've been saying it all along that this guy is not juventus material. i don't know who should replace him so don't bother asking me that. but i do know that i never liked him and i made it known here despite all the ranieri cock blowers who would defend the man as if they were his bastard children. i'm not going to say f ranieri or anything like that, i will just stick to repeating that he is not a good coach for us. it was a mistake for firing deschamps, it was a mistake for hiring ranieri and it was a mistake for keeping this moron and letting him incur the damage laden upon our club which we stand before today.

Agreed, I've been saying it after the first half of last season because he didn't live up to his "Tinkerman" status. Tinkerbell has to go.

But knock it off with that "Juventus material" stuff.

Juve: Ranieri is safe
Thursday 23 April, 2009
Juventus have released an official statement stressing that Claudio Ranieri's position at the club is safe.

There were widespread suggestions that Ranieri would be axed should he fail to deliver the Coppa Italia.

And Juve were beaten by Lazio last night in what was almost certainly their last shot at silverware this season.

Some sources have reported that the Old Lady are lining up Roma tactician Luciano Spalletti as Ranieri's successor, but the club have silenced the voices.

“Any talk about Juventus being interested in Roma's Coach is completely without foundation,” the statement reads.

“There have been no meetings and we have no intention of appointing Spalletti or any other Coach.

“As we have stated on several occasions we are behind Ranieri and that hasn't changed after the Lazio game.”

Personaly i think that ranieri will stay with us next season. Many times this season the fans were furious over Ranieri and he's decisions + results but the board backed him up. I think that the "Trio" believe that we're experiencing a drop in form "only" and that things will get better next season.

They've been saying these things for the past 2 seasons so i don't really see any real change here.

All what i hope for is that they don't renew he's contract, staying with ranieri for another season is painfull but we can manage it but keeping ranieri for the next 2+3 seasons is just waaaaaay too much....

I could only stomach another season under Fraudio if I knew Lippi would come after South Africa. It would still make for a long, frustrating season with no trophies.

And I still think having Canno at the back with Chiellini will make for better results no matter who the manager is.

You think it is?! How come?
its keeping up appearances

no one in the professional world would ever come out and bash an employee like such. everything is done behind closed doors. alongside that, the club doesn't want to show anymore disarray than what we already have in place.

think of it as gamesmanship

The team is not under his control.how can juve start next season with motivation and spirit while they dont believe in their coach ? i mean now its not the question of tactical power or team reinforcement, its the question of LEADING the team.

Can he prepare the team spirit and fire them up, for another long season ?
I really dont think so !

This is true, it would be pretty surprising if they came out and said he was a dead man walking.

Ranieri recalls 'dead man walking' Chelsea experience

Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri has recalled his emotional departure from Chelsea almost five years ago.

Ranieri told The Sun: “I knew from the start, from the very beginning, I was just a dead man walking.

“(Roman) Abramovich tried to get Sven Goran Eriksson but he was tied up with the England national team — and for that reason he left me in my job.

...

Ranieri added: “It all became clear once Peter Kenyon arrived. With Abramovich we knew we had to build a team to be able to start winning.

“Kenyon arrived in February and started saying that if I didn’t win a trophy it would be a disaster.

“The things didn’t add up. I was thinking to myself 'The owner tells me to build a team and Kenyon says I have to win’. So at that point I understood everything.”
It was pointless to take it up with the owner.

Ranieri added: “I didn’t speak to Roman about that. Kenyon was a person Abramovich brought to the club. I was someone Abramovich had found at Chelsea. Between the two of us, Kenyon would always have more credibility.”

Chelsea finished that season runners-up in the league and reached the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Ranieri begged Red Rom to let him stay on.

The Italian added: “I spoke to Abramovich before he let me go and said 'I’m sorry you’re new at the club because an owner who’s been in football for some time and sees what I have done for this club would never sack me — NEVER.

“He would give me the opportunity to complete my work. To do what I’ve done is incredible’. At the end of the season there were about 10 days that Abramovich was thinking about it before deciding to get Jose Mourinho.

“It saddens me that I was unable to finish my work.”

Abrahamovich, or Peter Kenyon more directly (director who had Romans total trust) decided 2-3 months before the season ended that they will get another coach, and announced it. Wasnt much of backstabbing, PR wise there wasnt any danger for them, so they were upfront in saying they want another direction early on.
