I don`t think there are more than this one few posts above who wished for Arioudo instead of Mellberg.
Do u think there is any inter fans who choose to play Santon instead of Maxwell before Atalanta match when they lost 3-1...

but Mourinho has guts to play youngster with talent like Santon, for what i see from Ariaudo, he is deserved the chance like Santon too...

and do u think Ranieri will brave like Ferguson who play the unknown Macheda for Nani when he needs 1 goal for 3 pts... I don't think so, if that case happen to Juve when we need goal like MU... and there is a player like Daud, Iago, Immobile in our bench, i don't think he will play one of them

Mellberg plays great before this match but his stupid mistake in final minute cost us a chance to be scudetto... and why not trying to play Ariaudo then for next match...

Santon first debut to replace Maxwell also in one big match against Roma in Coppa and he played great match

Might as well give Ariaudo the chance now. No harm in seeing what the kid can do.

Can't be worse than Mellborg the other day.
SMELLBERG aside (Vinmanese attempt, there). Ariaudo has given me no reason yet to believe he won't be up to the task. I'm all for giving the boy a shot until he proves himself unworthy...

Nothing personal against Mellberg. It's just that he was always an inexpensive stopgap solution.

I think we should start bringing on the youngsters one after another to see what they are capable off, this would sure help putting the dots for next season's line-up. We can secure second place "hopefully" or even third becasue what matters now is to make sure we go to Champs League next season and it is pretty much accomplished.

Now, we shift focus on the coppa and hopefully we won't leave this season empty handed.

..Oh and if Melberg has some guts, I demand a public apology for the stunt-gone-bad that he was trying to pull.

Maybe by the next press conference.

Yup that's why Milan has the best defense of Serie A. Maldini alone has got the experience of all Serie A defenders combined.
Theres got to be a mix of youth and experience. As for Arioudo compared to to Santon, or Nani, I dont think hes there yet. When he played he showed he has potential, and i would like to see him more, but to think he should be ahead of mellberg or Legro in the pecking order, i think its wrong.

Ranieri played the defence much too high up the field, asking them to play the long ball and make a race of it: which of course they won. Pretty daft, if you ask me.

On the so called Melberg own goal, well yes he made a mess of it (he should have knocked it out) but nobody was giving him support, and when they broke it was still 5 against 3 in our favour: odds that we should not have lost. Two players watch Plessier(or whatever his name is) run into empty space at the far post, neither trying to put him under pressure.

One man to blame: no!

By the way Buffon should have done better with their second goal.

I still think playing a high line was a mistake.

Regarding the High line, we have always played a pressure game and that is a main component of that plan. Then, we were down so we need to put more pressure on them and we don't have players that can play from the back. But, we should've been defending deep in the final minutes.

Also moli takes a bit of the blame in that last goal if your in the mood for it, as he was no where near his position even though there were only two players in the box. But, hey whats that going to change now?

to all you Ranieri lovers I will tell you this, we will never win anything or maybe a coppa with him in charge
the guy has always been second best and that won't change

Wait wait. People are actually blaming Ranieri for not playing Ariaudo instead of Mellberg against Chievo?

Every single person that even implied that shit would not make it coaching a division 7 club in the Faroe Islands.

I wrote earlier that in order to progress we need a coach with a winning mentality
Ranieri has never won anything big in his career, he is a good coach
I think he did a good job getting us into Europe, that was above my expectation but now we need to take an extra step and we need someone else for that
I don't mentio anyone because that's another discussion
maybe we just don't have a worldclass team but I'll give you an example
Pellegrini at Villareal has been giving Real and Barca a real hard time although Villareal is a relatively small team with a fraction of their budget
and he does that with exciting football
now I'm not saying we should get him but I mean that even though we don't have the money of Inter or even the players we can get better results and in an attractive fashion
and btw we have a lot more means then Villareal

Quoted for the fucking truth. I do think Ranieri should shoulder some blame for yesterday(not alone of course).

But to even imply that he should have played Ariaudo??!!

None of the posters who are saying that now, said it before the game. Hindsight is a beautiful thing :disagree:
