What Trez did was wrong but understandable, however what Ranieri has done by replying through the media is abominable. The coach is the one who is supposed to keep things controlled & not to fuel the situation.
This is the best thing said about this subject! I totally understand Trezeguet's frustration, he was dangerous in front of the goal, even the comical Ali (That's Ranieri and not you Ali :D) admitted with something like "I took Iauinta off because he was tired, I couldn't take Trezeguet, because he could do anything in any moment", but yet he took him later off, and specially when he was more dangerous, remember that header and great save by Cech?

Trezeguet should have been stayed calm even thou he absolutely had the right to complain, just like Del Piero was taken off when he was in a great form, and he threw the jacket off with anger, both cases are wrong, but our comical Ali is even dumber than both, with his replying back comments :disagree:

Juve unite against Trez tantrum Friday 13 March, 2009

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

David Trezeguet is increasingly frozen out at Juventus after President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli sided with Claudio Ranieri.

The striker caused controversy when he complained to French newspaper L’Equipe at his substitution against Chelsea, prompting the Coach to call him “a spoilt child.

“His words really annoyed me, as usually these things remain within the locker room. I feel betrayed by him as a man more than a player, and that is the worst thing.

“After [Giorgio] Chiellini’s dismissal we weren’t playing with 10 men, we were playing with nine. Trezeguet wasn’t really playing any more and I needed someone who would fight and hold the ball up, like Amauri.

“Trezeguet touched the ball six times in the first half and six in the second, which included a great assist and a header. When I saw we couldn’t get round Chelsea any more, I introduced Amauri, who is Juve’s top scorer.

“I let Trezeguet play for 80 minutes in the most important game of the season. I’ve always held him in high esteem, but maybe he didn’t do the same for me.”

Now the club is standing by Ranieri and effectively freezing Trezeguet out, although they stop short of pledging his departure.

“Like everyone in our team, he wants to play, but he will stay at Juve because he has a contract and is one of our four star strikers,” said President Cobolli Gigli.

“As for Ranieri, he will remain and continue working with [general manager Jean-Claude] Blanc to build an even more competitive squad.

“I am very satisfied with the way Ranieri set out Juventus and the changes he made. I also say that without taking anything away from Chelsea, we could have qualified from this round.”

The Bianconeri are looking to the future and Trezeguet might not be a part of the squad next season when they will stage a stronger assault on the Champions League.

“We are determined to be very competitive,”
continued Cobolli Gigli.

“Let us not forget that two years ago we were in Serie B and our financial clout is that of a club in the stock market that must pay its own way.”

This is priceless taking a small matter and making it into something bigger that it really is.

Ranieri was actually counting the amount of touches that Trez made stating that 1 was an assist and the other was a header that brought out a good save from Cech, mind you.

We needed to score 2 goals and those meagre touches almost did the trick so for me they were important touches.

I would like to know how many touches the others were on the field made and how many of those many touches were indeed relevant.

He goes on to say he wanted someone that could hodl up the ball, we needed to score not hold the ball up with 12 minutes to go.

Hold up the ball for what? At that stage it had gone beyond holding the ball up and about scoring 2 that Trez could do at any moment.

I do not even wanna talk about comments made by abbott and costello as they are not worth my effort.

@Azurri I said Inter are winning despite the whingeing of their playes in public and you mentioned Dp but you and I do not know if he was undermining Capello in private or are you saying if it is not brought to our attention then it is okay for him to do it?

All the furore I find bemusing as you guys were happy to support Trez when he was ranting against Domenech or because you do not support France, it was okay for Trez to do that?

Also the guy is a Juventus legend and stayed to play in serieB so why on earth should he thank Ranieri as if Ranieri rescued his career.

Amazing how Ranieri does not show this kinda passion when we lose or when Mourinho says he is 179 years old

Only when the fans expected us to act on the market as if Abramovich and all the sheiks in the world are joint owners of Juventus.
Nobody asked him to act like abramovich, miracles don't happen everyday all what the poor juve fans asked for are some decent talents that those on charge need to get to improve the team. We can't even ask for that?

Of course we can.
But you're here for a while already and you can see how everything we did so far is undervalued by many fans. I guess some Italian fans also do that.
This repetitive reply is a reply to these people.

The players and ranieri did their best so far and can't argue about that. All what we hope for is the board to sign quality players to help this team next season. Once they do that you won't hear many voices here complaining about those guys on charge....But can they sign those players? Have my doubts honestly but hope i'm wrong on this....

What if we sign quality players and we still end up second and do not win CL? Will you be so optimistic then? I am sure there will be plenty of people complaining that we "should have spent extra for Ribery instead of Silva"...blah blah blah

Some people should be more grateful we are doing so well, things could be much worse. The board says we have money, we will spend it. They have even come out specifically saying the names of the players that interest them, I am sure they will go for them. I feel like too many people here demand too much far too quickly and expect trophy after trophy. I might go as far to say (not you in particular only juve) that some here are spoiled. You gotta go through tough times like this to really appreciate when we do win. Look at Milan fans how they complain that they are in 4th or 3rd and not in CL, shit they just one it and many other trophy's yet they are still complaining.
