and the fans have no clue how gio is in training!

who knows, perhaps nevdev owns gio in training and so its only a decision to play the player who is in better form ...

perhaps giovinco does certain things wrong in training (easy mistakes) so ranieri things he can not afford to play him yet

Yeah, right, he sucks at trainings and then when he is given his rare start, he single-handedly beats defenders and provides assists. We've seen him play, we know what he can or can't do.

so what a player offers in attacking is all what counts for a midfielder ? (especially a midfielder with a defender behind him who is known to have flaws and gets often caught out of position)

1. he did not set the world on fire in the matches he should
2. he is not well integrated in the system, meaning even if he was ronaldinho he will not get enough balls because no one knows his runs well enough
3. stop being a fanboy
4. we should sack ranieri and let you be the coach. obviously you have the ability to judge players from your pc in some room in the kindergarten without even seeing them ... you must be a miracle !

go play with andy in the sandpit, perhaps when you bang your heads against each other your one brain cell jumps over to his brain or the other way around. that way one of you would have doubled his brain cells.

your naive and simple way of thinking is annoying me.
people like you should go into the stadium and get drunk, but do not annoy thinking human beings.

Actually, Giovinco is an attacker.
Even if he plays on the left he's still a forward because he doesn't defend and he's used only in attack.
With him on we're actually playing 4-3-3, something Ranieri doesn't prefer.

I even think that it's Del Piero who's taking Giovinco's place, not Nedved. Since Ranieri obviously wants 4-4-2, Giovinco's main chance is to play in attack, but Ale's been brilliant lately and no player on earth can take his place.

I can't stand Ranieri's tactic using BOTH De Ceglie and Molinaro on one side. We risked in this game playing these two together on the same flank but I hope he doesn't do it for the sake of the points.

We looked dead from the left today.

Ranieri : "I have no more adjectives for Alex"

A satisfied Ranieri following Juventus’ 6th consecutive win, this time at the expense of Chievo had this to say about his captain : "I have no more adjectives for Alex. He plays well, scores and plays for the team. He is lethal to our opponents and important to us."

Chievo were no sitting duck and the team from Verona played its part well, especially before the great goal scored by DelPpiero. "Obviously it wasn’t easy to perforate their defence but after the goal we had very good game-play and ball exchange and we managed to get the second goal", commented the Juventus coach.

"Its a year since we’ve been working together. I’ve been here for a year and as I said the other day if I did well last year it does not mean that I suddenly became an idiot and now once again Einstein. It’s certain papers who come up with such statements but I can’t share their opinion. Mistakes are always committed even when the team wins. in Italy we tend to praise a team when it wins and fire at it incessantly when it loses."

The Juventus coach ended his statement by appealing to all those watching to send an sms in aid of cancer research on the day of an initiative in this sense.

I can't understand why he insists on playing DC as LM when he has Gio!!!
The guy do not add to the team offensively...

No compromises for Claudio

Wednesday 12 November, 2008 Channel 4

Juventus Coach Claudio Ranieri is wary of the effects of fixture congestion but demands “110 per cent” against Genoa tomorrow.

The Bianconeri have found form over the last month and approach their home fixture with high-flying Genoa on a high.

The fixture has been moved to Thursday evening due to Italy's rugby international being played in Turin on Saturday.

“It would be a real pleasure to get a victory to confirm that we are having a great spell, even if it's hard to keep performing every three days,” Ranieri said.

The championship is very tight. The fact that there are eight teams within four points at the top and that the other sides are strong helps us to keep focused.

“Genoa spent lots in the summer and they signed quality players
,” Ranieri continued.

“The team are doing excellent things and are a tight unit. They know how to close a game and how to find space so we will need to be on top form - I want 110 per cent.

Raffaele Palladino is a stupendous player and has innate quality and I know Ruben Olivera and Andrea Gasbarroni well. Gian Piero Gasperini is an excellent Coach.”

Juve have been dealing with a number of injuries to important personnel recently.

Slowly we have nearly recovered everyone, which is a very positive fact,” the Bianconeri tactician revealed.

In the past I have had to make huge changes, but now I can just replace a couple of players and that is much better for the balance of the side.

How is Mauro Camoranesi? At the Bernabeu and the Stadio Bentegodi I asked him if he wanted to come on at the end and he said he didn't feel ready yet.

“I have seen great desire from him this week. He stayed behind for extra training yesterday and that's a sign that he is nearing 100 per cent
.”

one more just for you

Ranieri: «Genoa is a very good team»

After six successive wins, Juventus will be looking to win their seventh match in a row. In an unusual Thursday night encounter (the match was moved forward due to the international rugby friendly between Italy and Argentina scheduled for Saturday at the Stadio Olimpico), the bianconeri will be hosting Genoa in one of the most interesting matches of the 12th day. The two opponents are amongst the teams in the best condition at the moment.

The team from Liguria which rolled over their opponents like bulldozers at the Marassi managed to win some important points even when playing away from home (against Inter in Milan and against Udinese in Udine) and will be hoping to make another great achievement against the bianconeri. Mr. Ranieri knows the dangers of the match: «Genoa is a very good team. It is very well prepared with mechanisms which have been well-studied, the team knows how to defend and how to fight back. We know of the good qualitie sof the team, of the individuals and of Gasperini. This is why a great effort will need to be made on our side, we need a Juventus at 110%»

After having beaten Real Madrid (twice), Torino, Bologna, Roma and Chievo, the bianconeri want to include Genoa in this very particular list. In order to do this, Ranieri can once again count on Marchisio while others such as Camoranesi are getting their condition back in order. «Slowly the injured players are recovering and this is a very positive fact because I can see things through a wider perspective. Mauro is well and I am following his improvements step by step. Yesterday he made an extra bit of training which shows that he is returning to his maximum efficiency»

If Camoranesi is returning to the best of his condition, another bianconero is currently living a magical moment. We are obviously referring to Alessandro Del Piero, a real cover-boy for this past week which saw an impressive string of victories. All the Juventus supporters as well as Ranieri expect other new touches of class by the captain who will tomorrow evening find himself in a duel with Genoa striker Milito: «Having such an important point of reference helps us feel positive. Del Piero isn’t only free-kicks, he is much more then that. It is right that he is our symbol after all everybody knows that a team is not made up of only one champion. Behind him there is a team which is going through a very good time»
