i like how it's the battle of former chelsea managers. this could be prove to be a mini-personal revenge for Ranieri if he pips out Mourinho this year. then again, he could get shamefully embarassed....

Attacking Midfielder-But we don't play the formation that would utalise him well enough, for me he would be wasted on the wing.

But hey we play the magical 4-4-2.

Ranieri: Trez is not for sale Channel 4

Friday 1 August, 2008

Juventus boss Claudio Ranieri has no intention of letting any of his four strikers leave and Vincenzo Iaquinta is determined to earn a regular starting shirt.

With the addition of Amauri this summer, the Bianconeri have a fearsome array of attacking options.

However there have been rumours that David Trezeguet is unsettled and could jump ship for Barcelona, as he wants to be guaranteed a first-team place.

But Ranieri is certain that he can keep Alessandro Del Piero, Amauri, Iaquinta and Trezeguet happy.

We are keeping hold of all four of the strikers that we have,” the Old Lady leader told Sky Sport Italia. “The fans can relax and so can the players.

“There are few teams that can boast four attackers of this calibre and the possibility of selling Trezeguet or Iaquinta never even crossed my mind.

“We have a project and we are going forward together. We will fight tooth and nail this year.”

Iaquinta was forced to accept the bench quite regularly last term, but he has impressed in pre-season and believes he can prove his worth this time around.

“I was unlucky last year,” the ex-Udinese talisman stressed on Juve’s website. “I suffered more than one injury and that stopped me taking part in Euro 2008.

“This year I have started well, perhaps even better than last time and I am looking forward to games against prestigious sides in this shirt.”

Juve are currently in England to take part in the Emirates Cup against Arsenal and Hamburg this weekend before facing Manchester United.
