You are just fishing for reasons to scream over nothing.
Ha ha, guilty
There is nothing to criticise or find ulterior motives in a coach, saying appriciating words to players who have constantly been flamed and hence are bit more down then others.
How is it insulting to our real heroes as you say, if the coach pats those who need it in the back?
I am not arguing the unnecessary praise to our departing flops here,
CR would very well do that by praising them alone and mentioned them as the unsung heroes, but he said that they were
the best, that would mean better or more important than the rest.
Imagine you being DP, having one of the most prolific seasons of your life, by the end of your carrier, waiting for your last chance to be called in your NT and prove your real value that has been undermined all those years by your injuries and the incredible favorism to Totti.
And when the times comes and your deeds are enough for everyone to remember, your coach steps forward and admits that Molinaro had a better year than you did
Not that he just did well, but he did better than you!!!
Thankfully DP is man who knows no arrogance, egoism and he is proved enough not worry about those incredible stupid comments.
And i repeat, WHY NOW??? Those guys will be marginalized or leave
it is not the time to worry about the moral status!!
Why dont you accept that CR was wrong here, with the
timing at least.
Although i believe that those players havent done enough to earn that kind of praise (best) and i wouldnt like the to repeat these performances. They are not 5 year old kids, they are professionals, their best effords may not be enough to keep the competitive in this level, players like Molinaro should realize that!!
I doubt that praising does any good in this case. But i wouldnt protest if these praises were coming mid-season and not as an epilogue to everybody's efforts, in the entire year!
With other words, we dont need to lick Molinaro's

for his horrible performances, despite his fair efforts,
we should just give him a kick on his
Unless we depend on him to keep him and savor his "incredible" efforts for the next year too...:xfinger:
