Actually, the statement by vimo I quoted might not be the dumbest thing I've ever heard, but probably the dumbest thing I'll hear all week. Probably.
that's it. But some people just won't get that... I'm looking forward to CL, because CR plays offensive football and we might just be successful, who knows?
You know, Vimo, that might not be the dumbest thing I'll ever hear, but probably just the dumbest thing I'll hear today. The reason why I didn't say "week" this time is because you already out-did yourself today with your above statement.

Bro, you're two for two... keep them coming! Make it a hattrick!

Love the way that we beat Inter and everyone jumps and praises Ranieri. Incredibly lucky to hold third considering the sorts of teams we have failed to get all 3 points against. Bottom of the fucking table, for a start.

I never said you were dumb, but rather your statements are inane. If you actually think Ranieri didn't have a competitive squad at both Chelsea and Valencia, and if you really believe Ranieri plays "attacking football," then you really cannot be taken seriously.

well i don't know how you call 3 strikers in a starting XI but to me this is attacking football yes. And whether or not CR had a competitive squad remains open. He reached CL in his first year he came to valencia. Not that bad if u ask me. but of course u know better

Monaco went down to 10 men when it was 1-1 and then Ranieri put on a striker for a defender and some other idiot change and they lost 3-1, despite having a man advantage.

And in the semi final he made some ridiculous substitutions that cost them the chance to get to the final and him his job.

Yes you are right, but you also forgot few details.
On same day when Chelsea played at Monaco, Jose had appointment with Kenyon from Chelsea and they signed pre contract. Every Chelsea supporter knew that!!!
Do you think Ranieri did not know about it?

But that was not main problem, Ranieri wanted to kill the game and finish it in Monaco...Strikers did not do the job..Veron was bad when he got in, Parker terrible etc.
In 2nd leg, we were leading at the time 2:0...we would still win and go to final, but there was foul on Hasslebank and Monaco player scored with hand, and he admitted, and said in papers that god gave him power to score with hand..

All that season , as i said before CR knew it he will be kicked out, and only reason why we did not win at that time was because Arsenal who never lost single match..

remember Henry, Viera, Pirez, Bergkamp, Campbell, A.Cole, Gilberto.

anyway we won against this team in CL.

You are both right and wrong..We should also ask our players to step up with their games against smaller teams.. Do you think its easier to make game plan against better quality players/teams or smaller?

I wont criticise Ranieri for that.I thought that was a very good move.Yes,it didnt come off that well in the end,but had Chelsea beaten Monaco, people would have been raving about how Ranieri had the guts to replace a defender with a striker in an attempt to kill off the game.
