Ranieri: People Write About Me To Sell Papers
Juventus boss Claudio Ranieri says that the constant speculation that he will be replaced at the end of the season is only to sell newspapers.
The Tinkerman had been under heavy pressure a few weeks ago when Juve picked up just one point from three games. There were strong calls both in the media, and from supporters, for Ranieri to be sacked.
However things have improved somewhat since then, and the ex-Chelsea coach is now at his most popular since taking over, following Saturday night’s brilliant, and deserved victory over bitter rivals Inter at San Siro.
Juve have picked up 10 points from their last four games, but this has still not stopped the rumours that Ranieri will be sacked in the summer, with the likes of Marcello Lippi, Jose Mourinho and Cesare Prandelli all linked as replacements.
Ranieri though is unflustered by the speculation.
"We have to be careful of surprises around the corner,” he said.
"I do not think people will stop writing about my successors. They need something to sell their newspapers."
The 56-year-old has openly been supported by the Juventus hierarchy in recent weeks.

That does not mean that I will not criticize him when not doing obvious moves like too much use of some players.
I still hold him responsible as he is the manager and he must provide some kind of motivation and drive to win those games we should have won. Motivation against clubs like Inter, Roma, Milan, Lazio is not needed, but different approach against Empoli, Regina etc is his responsibility.
But when we say critics when playing bad, we hav to recognize the good moves too and this is one of those moments.

Look I'm sure everyone expected this to happen at some point. Throwing points away even with small sides....because the team is yet to find the chemistry between them since it's their first year after returning back from serie b and not to mention the injuries we faced.
But not loosing to the big sides it's an evidence that we have the will and we can find the chemistry needed to do better in the future.
The only thing for example i didn't appreciat in Ranieri saturday night is playing Sali. But over-all the tactics, formation, style of play is much more diff, I haven't seen this even in Crapello days.
Next season, I'd only change Ranieri for the likes of Lippi and Mourinho. But to replace him with an average coach and then wait for that coach to create a new team new chemistry new new new...then we'll be turning into another Inter.
But not loosing to the big sides it's an evidence that we have the will and we can find the chemistry needed to do better in the future.

you know i always 'defended' ranieri (i mean i just wanted that he's respected) and i'm really laughing my ass off if i'm reading all this. There are people who, in the same thread some pages ago posted ranieri was incompetent and everything, and now everyone is saying he's good and all... It's funny really...
About that 'losing against smaller clubs' - subject... You know i'm glad we are winning against the big names and losing against the 'smalls', because it will be far easier to improve from this point. We just need a little more balance and experience in our squad and we'll get there next season, with new signings and also with the maturing of our current squad, so i'm not worried at all we'll play a good season next year. If we would be winning against the like of empoli and losing against the big names, i'd be far more worried because we would just have to admit that we are not strong enough. The way things are going atm, i'm not worried at all. We are on one level with the big names, left milan (CL-Winner) behind us... I'm fine!
I'll stick to my opinion; should lippi come, i'd think about letting CR go, otherwise, CR will be fine! I don't think there's any coach who could have done better atm (including mourinho)

I said it at the start of the year and I still strongly believe in it now . Ranieri is a coach that will get the job done for the season but he is by no means fit to be Juve's coach in the future . I think he's the right man for the job when it comes to finishing in the top 4 but he is simply not a championship coach .
Some mistakes were :
1- Playing Nocerino at the right ( It was painfully obvious that Nocerino would not fit that position )
2 - Playing Palla as a winger ( He's a striker ffs ) It took him more than half the season to realize that .
3 - Playing the same formation at times which lacked creativity and were flat out boring and predictable .
4 - Playing Grygera as a CB .
He had a few mistakes this season which could have easilly been avoided . I think that's why most of the people in this forum threw the blame on him . At times they were right and at other times they were simply uncalled for . People would blame Ranieri just for the sake of blaming someone .
Overall , I have to say I am very appreciative of how Ranieri has handled the situation he was in , he did the best he can do and even though there have been errors along the way , he has made up for them with moments of brilliance .
