Last week I asked and opened a thread asking Ranieri to leave, now I am his fan?? This forum is funny.. I don't want Ranieri here, but you can't fuckin be blind and blame everyone's mistake on him for that, that will make you look an idiot you know?
I didn't mean to offend you, I'm sorry if I did. All I wanted to say, that changing tactics and players during the game surely is part of a manager's job. If he sets up a good formation at the beginning and later makes bad substitutions, than he surely is to blame.

And he should be fired if he sets up the wrong formation and makes bad substitutions... every game.

nah you didn't offend me. But I am not defending this guy, if you have read my match report in the match thread you would have seen I criticized him for what you mentioned and other things too. But saying we lost this match because of him is wrong, 3 main incidents killed the match, others are only details!

1- Biri's marking
2- Salihamidzic's stupid reaction in the penalty box
3- Camoranesi's ugly foul and the red card!

If these 3 things didn't happen, and specially the first two, everything were going to be much different, we were playing very good at the first half, you can't deny that! but these 3 things killed the whole efforts..

Ranieri may be at fault for a lot of things, but I wouldn't blame him for this match.

I thought the team, and the changes he made, were pretty reasonable.

Like Snoop says, it was individual errors that cost us.

I apologize, I haven't read your match report yet, and even wasn't able to watch the game, as I was not at home, but anyway, I think that those mistakes mentioned earlier took place in other matches as well.

I agree that there are cases, like individual players' mistakes, that the manager is not responsible for. And I also agree, that CR is not in any way responsible for those three incidents.

But he is responsible for the other mistakes mentioned, as well as for smiling after the match (no matter how ridiculous it may sound, it truly is disrespectful towards us, the fans, and it seems like he thinks he is doing everything the best way possible, which surely is not the case. Even if we were 1st in serie a, there would be things to work on.) And those are the things for which he deserves to be sacked.

This cost us just as much:

1) Why the hell was Trezeguet on the bench?
2) Why on earth was Iaquinta brought out for Trezeguet while being down one goal?
3) Why was Nedved the second player to be taken off?
4) Why the fuck did we insert Palladino into a position that doesn't suit him... AGAIN?
5) Why did we leave Salihamidzic on the pitch all match when he was utterly horrid?
6) Why in God's green earth did we leave Molinaro out on the pitch the entire match... AGAIN?

7) WHY DO WE HAVE THIS SAME DISCUSSION AFTER EVERY MATCH?

Ranieri must go.

Well, to be honest, I think we should blame the players a bit too. After all, we were 2-1 up and our players (especially Birindelli and Salihamidzic) should be experienced enough to hold the lead. On the other hand, we probably could have had a chance of winning the game with a more competent manager.

But an old Birindelli can only do so much, an out of position Palladino can only do so much, and a worthless player in Molinaro can only do so much.

But if I remember well, Birindelli was the one that kept Figo out when we played R. Madrid in 2003, so marking shouldn't be his problem. And Salihamidzic's foul in the penalty box was due to bad decision making. I too want Ranieri out as soon as possible, but we can't blame him for things he can't influence.

1. Yes, I would hve started Trez.
2. Iaquinta wasn't doing anything.
3. Nedved wasn't involved.
4. Fair point.
5. He was always going to move to RB because Biri can't last 90mins.
6. We don't have anyone else.
7. Beause nothing changes.

I would keep Ranieri til the end of the season because, like it or not, he is currently doing what was asked of him.

I basically agree with maybe except
3. Nedved's work rate is valuable, especially against a team like Inter.
8. Getting Mourinho is just too tempting to resist

We really have no choice but to keep Ranieri . Changing coaches after half a season is a sign of desperation , and when you look at the facts , we aren't doing too bad .

We currently sit at third place in the league which is much better than what most ppl expected .

We nearly beat the team that is probably one of the best in the world right now if it weren't for some easilly avoidable errors which Ranieri could do nothing about .

To be honest though , our wins this season have , for the most part , been a result of individual brilliance rather than Ranieri's tactical approach . Our attacks are extremely predictable . Any above average side can defend our attacks with ease and with the players we have , it shouldn't be this way . Our defence is also shit , Chiellini has magically been able to cover the countless flaws our defence has . We could have done much better in the transfer market , our fullbacks are terrible and that's the area they should have focused on . Zebina being our best one says it all really .
