But board will not easily sack CR as long as he can play with limited investment and at the same time keep bringing results not to mention building a new young Italian team, which will be very important in next few years.
I hope u know why..

OK after getting few goals in Milan and Turin from Inter, we might see extra pressure on him, but I hope that would not happen not cos of Ranieri sake, but cos of Juve.

You CR haters, can moan as much as u want, u can say anything you like, but not knowing, you will do more harm than well to Juve.

CR played football as professional and coached many teams. He is experienced enough for Juve and todays Juve is not same as from Lippi's days or Capello.
This is Juve team B if we are honest with ourselfs. CR is not the best, and he would never be..But little bit more respect and consideration should be allowed.

I dont care who is coach as long as players like him, he is respected , and bringing the results..
I did not mind Capello either ...

this exactly what I've been thinking for the last couple of months, we are having a really good season yet the majority of us keep bashing Ranieri, Secco or the board in general. And based on what?
the media yeah that is a reliable source
how many times haven't I read that I don't like him because he said he want Sissoko instead of VDV?
when you read these stories in the media you have to read between the lines
I'm sure Ranieri knows exactly what we need but is it possible?
don't forget we are not the powerhouse we were a couple of years ago
the penalty has been served but the effects will be felt for a long time
you mustn't underestimate the power of players as well, if they want to leave or not is often up to them, don't forget we are talking about people here
they are not just names on our screens
and like all people they have a mind of there own
for example why do you think Milito chose Barcelona over us?
Barca play CL, in a country he is already living in so his family don't have to adjust to a different lifestyle
Juve came out of brimstone of serie B with a big questionmark on how strong they would be and no CL for at least another year

Our transfers last summer sucked, apart from Iaquinta and maybe Andrade but you have to realise we simply don't have the financial means to get the real star players and we certainly lack the apeal at the moment
Ranieri probably is only a temporary coach for us but you have to admit he gets results, I would have signed for a third place before the season started

Ranieri can do well and finish 3rd or 4th with an average squad, like we have now.

He will do badly and finish 3rd or 4th with a good side.


I hope the board gets rid of Ranieri as soon as we have a team capable of competing for the league.

Fully agree. He is good enough for the stage we are in. And I am under no illusions -- Zizou is not walking through the door (even though, if we get Diego, I would not be surprised if he mirrored ZZ's career, just saying he could playing-style, and impact-wise).
I still repeat what I said twice already: he was the best option for all the reasons you say as well for a coach when he was hired.

Agreed again. I bash them based on poor play, not results! Good football not= good results.

I just want to say a couple of things about these posts: I agree with all that is said. I am not trying to villainize Ranieri. I know my posts were harsh but I was pointing out all that you guys are saying. He is decent enough. We did get decent result.

BUT

the reason I think he is not doing well as Juve 07/08 coach is because by any standard (mostly objective ones) we are not playing well. That is his job. I know players have a say, but he needs to get it out of them.

Shitty transfers?!? Everyone we got was a starter and the or maybe one of the most important players on their respective teams (even Molinaro). Some of them were risky but all were good at the time. I am just begging him to coach them up to that level, because we know they can perform there...

I don't blame Milito. And you are right, we did not wield enough power to attract a good player like that. We will soon, but that will be with a different coach (and at that point who knows, even Alves is not out of question considering the state of affairs in Sevilla and his contract -- its only bound to get worse too).

So to sum it up. I am happy with our position in the table. Not happy with Ranieri down-coaching players capable of more. We have a strong enough team, but certainly not 1995/1996 quality. Once we regain quality, Ranieri as a coach will not be good enough. So I guess, yea: cut him some slack -- while we are doing well. BUT, be prepared to let him go once we are not.

The only thing I appreciate is the league position, even thou other teams are sucking. He has time until the end of the season. If he things don't go the right way, someone should show him the door. But not right now!

It is a wide known fact that changing a manager in the middle of the season is the worst decision in football. I stand by Ranieri until the end of the season, I'd trust him on changing players in the transfer window as long as he keeps us in the current position. This does not mean I'm his fan or I want him to stay, I am simply against changing in the middle of the season.

What disturbs me most is that I didn't write Ranieri off as the majority of the crowd did around these walls. I always thought that his tinkering will do us good and do the whole league good being in a change to the character of football, being as we are in a transition period and serving as an element of surprise to our opponents.
