IMO if lippi is returning then it should be for the last time. i really hated both times he left, but at least he won the WC and he was not directly affected by the calciopoli,

If he comes he might as well be our fergie not just another coach.

As for Jose he is great. I really don't understand why most people (Not me)see his style as boring when i really don't see any deference between his style and most Italian teams.

All the article does is explain Lippi and Ranieri's histories, with a few lines about why he thinks Lippi will rejoin Juventus. Its not that great a article IMO.Histories of both managers, and thats it.Everyone here arleady knows whats been written in the article.

Mourinho will most probably take up the English NT job,so we can forget him.Personally Im not in favour of bringing Lippi over for a 3rd time.As so many people have already said, its time to move on.Lippi is a part of our history already. Why go through the risk of spoling it?Forget Lippi.

Benitez is a good choice, but i think he'd end up in Spain next year.At Barcelona perhaps,or maybe even Real Madrid.Who else does that leave us with?

Rijkard?
Van Basten?
Ancelotti for a 2nd term?
Klinsman?
Wenger?:D

Last summer we were linked to all managers other than Ranieri.Ranieri only came into the picture later on.So maybe this time we'll sign a manager who isnt being strongly linked with us at this stage.

Or maybe we'll stick with Ranieri.

Ranieri: Juve blew it

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Claudio Ranieri has warned his Juventus players they “missed their chance” to earn a first team place in their Coppa Italia debacle.

The Coach fielded a second string side for the 2-1 defeat at Empoli on Thursday evening, as midfielders Sergio Almiron and Tiago Mendes among others were very disappointing.

“I didn’t expect to see a well-oiled machine, but I did want them to run so hard they turned the turf into mud,” said Ranieri.

“Empoli were also reshuffled, but they did all the running. It was a missed opportunity. I gave some chances and they were not taken. It’s a shame and we’ll have to see if I’ll be giving any more shots.

“When you see a performance like that, you cannot be happy. Now we are set to face a great Atalanta side in a wonderful period of form who are compact and everything is going their way. It’ll be difficult and we must give 100 per cent.”

The warning to Juve’s reserves was crystal clear, as their failure to impress in the Coppa Italia means they have little chance of breaking into the starting XI for Serie A.

They are the only giants not to have any European commitments this term, so in theory they should have put far more effort into the Coppa.

Tiago is said to be the one most at risk of a January transfer, as the £10m summer signing is wanted on loan by Paris Saint-Germain.

“I did not speak about Tiago, I was referring to the whole squad. There were another 10 players out there with him,” assured the tactician.

However, Ranieri lost patience when pressed repeatedly on Tiago’s future by journalists in today’s Press conference.

“Have you seen where we are in the table? Do you think we got there by the grace of God? If the other players are in better shape, then I choose them. I would like to give everyone more chances, but a Coach must be practical and look at the team.”

While the Turin outfit try to band together for the Atalanta game, they fall behind top two Inter and Roma.

“They have not run away with the title. We have to put our foot down and cannot afford to relax. We must stay humble, concentrated and hunger. It is only by playing like that, and hoping the others make mistakes, we can stay close by. I am always positive!”

Zdenek Grygera and Mauro Camoranesi are out injured for the Sunday afternoon game, which will be live on Five.

There will be a minute’s silence ahead of Juventus-Atalanta after two people died in a fire at the ThyssenGrupp AG steel mill in Turin.

Ranieri is very good coach and I know him well. Don't understand all those negative comments about him. But I have to go now as there is a game in London..Sunderland will pay today :)

Ranieri: We Are Not Out Of The Title Race

Juventus boss Claudio Ranieri says that his team are not out of the Scudetto race despite falling eight points behind league-leaders Inter.

The Bianconeri have a had a magnificent return to the top-flight following their year spent in purgatory in Serie B, however despite their fine form they are still struggling to keep up with the blockbuster pace set by Roma and Inter.

“They have not run away with the title. We have to put our foot down and cannot afford to relax,” said Ranieri.

“We must stay humble, concentrated and hunger. It is only by playing like that, and hoping the others make mistakes, we can stay close by. I am always positive!”

Juventus were in action on Thursday evening in the first leg of their last 16 Coppa Italia tie with Empoli.

Ranieri rested a host of first-choice players, but their replacements failed to shine as Juve fell to a 2-1 defeat in Tuscany.

“I didn’t expect to see a well-oiled machine, but I did want them to run so hard they turned the turf into mud,” said the Tinkerman.

“Empoli were also reshuffled, but they did all the running. It was a missed opportunity. I gave some chances and they were not taken. It’s a shame and we’ll have to see if I’ll be giving any more shots.

“When you see a performance like that, you cannot be happy. Now we are set to face a great Atalanta side [tomorrow] in a wonderful period of form who are compact and everything is going their way. It’ll be difficult and we must give 100 per cent.”

During the press conference, Ranieri said that no one will leave, except maybe Buffon on loan, to gain a bit of experience. :p

Reading that article from Channel 4 presents a bit of a grim situation and its subtlely implied that the rest of the league is laughing at us because we don't have other committments in the other leagues and its suggesting that we should be on top of the Coppa Italia table and the Serie A table...yet if we were I wonder how many people would throw the accusations of match fixing.

I'm hoping for the very best tomorrow. We need to pull it together.
