Well i think it's pretty much useless talking about Xabi now. Choices have been made last transfer window. it's no use arguiong about it. Fact is Alonso WAS for sale (he would have been sold, no matter what pool-fans say now) nd to be replaced by barry, but (fortunate for pool in MY opinion) the deal just didn't happen. Fuill stop.

As far as i'm concerned, i'm disappointed from poulsen. not only is he not that 'big name' the fans were promised, but also his performances so far were mediocre at best.
Still, we can't blame ranieri for everything; he does indeed have a point when he says that poulsen is the more defensive option, and he does also have a point that our wings do not defend. i mean go ahead and look at the games, camo and neddy do not come back to defend all the time. they do eventually help out in defense, but if they do, you can't talk of a regular tactic anymore because once they go missing up front, we don't have ANY idea what to do.

That said, i don't know if xabi could deliver the same performance he does atm in pool. remember that defenders are closer in serie-a, have in mind that we don't have a gerrard (who's the real regista in liverpool) helping out and asking for the ball in EVERY position, remember that we have sissoko who's not a mascherano technique-wise... i don't know really.

I'd have preferred alonso too, but... you know... we do not know what xabi would have brought us.
