It's true that those connections will be lost, and football will become purely about buisness. However, footabll has been this way for a good number of years. What history has shown us is that teams that have tried to maintain traditional footballing values are the very teams that are being wiped off the map.

The true yet painful fact is that all the most sucessful clubs in the world right now happen to be the richest clubs as well. It's no coincidence, when you have the money you can afford the best players, and when you have the best players, success is just an inevitability. Milan, Chelsea, Man u, Barca, Real Madrid. Europe's biggest clubs are Europe's richest clubs.

Sticking to tradition is all good and well but it will ultimately get you nowhere, the richer and more powerful clubs will have all the success while teams like Juve will be the 'has been' club.

I would like to see Juve belong to Europe's elite football clubs again, but realistically, it won't happen without money, and plenty of it.
