You can't be serious. Anyone reasonable and not biased to Tiago will admit he failed miserably.
He failed, but I still don't blame it entirely on the player. He was labeled a flop back in the early Fall of 2007 by the Italian media.

Even that piece of shit, disgrace to football, worthless dolt of a footballer in Molinaro shat on our pitch matchday after matchday, and nobody in the press even labeled him something as degrading as a "flop." Yet you defend that guy for some strange reason.

At least molinaro is physically present. When we have Tiago playing, this means a big hole in our midfield as the opponents run right through him. He has no presence at all.
Oh yeah? At least Tiago can complete a damn pass, like any normal footballer can do. Molinaro cannot even do that. He's as worthless as they come. A disgrace to the position really. Might as well give us Pasquale.

The Molinaro-Tiago comparison is unreasonable.Molinro played day in and day out because we didnt have any alternatives.Tiago got the boot early because we had other central midfielders. The part about being labelled a flop has got more to do with just your performances.Tiago is a bigger, better known player than Molinaro, with a reasonable price tag on him when he was purchased.Poor performances by him would be scrutinzed by the press much more than poor performances by Molinaro.

Agreed. He's a ghost on the pitch. Few "sweet" passes won't fool me on judging this flop's performance.

I don't even know why are we comparing Tiago's and Molinaro's performances? Everytime I say Tiago flopped somebody comes to me and starts thrashing Molinaro. :confused2

Both players have different tasks on the pitch. While I can live with Molinaro, I always scream and pull my hair whenever I see Tiago on the pitch. He's pathetic and makes me wanna give him a slap or two to wake up. When he finally goes away, it will be a good riddance.

Exactly. In my honest opinion, Tiago deserved his labelling as a "flop". Italian media may be harsh but Tiago did not play good at all. He simply underperformed consistently.

Yeah nothing will ever fool you when it comes to tiago, you got brainwashed by the media ever since they linked flop to tiago. Since then every single thing he did good or bad, was considered a flop by the masses.

And I'm not comparing molinaro to tiago but clearly when it comes down to sheer soccer talent tiago beats the shit out of OUR "lb" in every category except maybe running.

Regardless of our opinion the guy is leaving. I'll be watching some EPL from now on just to see how he'll succeed there.

Tiago only joined the Old Lady from Lyon last year for €13m, however he has had a miserable 12 months in Italy, and last season made just 10 Serie A starts.

A summer exit for Tiago from the Stadio Olimpico has been clear for quite some time now, and both Everton and Newcastle United have been heavily linked with the player over the last week or so.

Yesterday it was reported that Everton have come to an agreement with the Bianconeri over a transfer fee for Tiago, and the Gazzetta is today claiming that the 27-year-old will probably join the Premiership side within the next 24 hours.

The Toffees will pay €1m to take Tigo on a one-year loan, and they will then have the option next summer to make the transfer permanent for a further €9m.

Yesterday, at the end of training, the Portuguese midfielder was approached by transfer chief Alessio Secco and, once made aware of the offer, apparently requested 24 hours to decide.

The Daily Mail claims that Everton will also contribute 100 per cent of Tiago’s wages. The former Benfica man spent the 2004/05 season in England at Chelsea, winning the championship and League Cup.
of our opinion tiago is on his way to everton

Media's got nothing to do with this. I am giving my opinion based on what I saw and except for a few really great and well executed match-changing passes, he was very disppointing. I knew that the player is nothing special before he came and I knew what was he capable of so I was against his signing and I expected that he will disappoint but to be so erroneous like he was, I was nothing short of shocked. To tell you the truth he had a few solid matches, namely Vs Reggina, Empoli, Lazio, Napoli, Cagliari and Parma but not once was he outstanding and not even remotely close to being proclaimed as a MOM. Nothing that he offered gave me enough reasons to make me feel he repayed to Juventus for that big amount of money, and he only lowered his repuation, deservedly being voted as one of the biggest flops in Serie A last season. He lacks balls, personality and his presence in midfield is non-existant. Sissoko and Zanetti made him look like a schoolboy when playing next to him, because they are more dominating in midfield that he will ever be, plus Zanetti even offers more "good" passes than him. It is only natural that Tiago has more talent than an average LB like Molinaro but what use is that when he shows absolutely nothing on the field. I seriously think Tiago's talent and skills have been severely overrated when he joined Juventus because they desperataly want that fancy boy succeeds in Juve, thus wanting to give him a 2nd chance again and again, when in reality he would be getting his 22nd chance and he will never deliver. He lacks character and mental toughness to succeed in Serie A and Ranieri was spot on to bench him and restrict his playing time. After all, why would we play with 10 players? I am sorry that we wasted 13 million on this bum more than I am sorry we splashed the money on Boumsong or any other player which didn't perform for us. I don't think we will ever get back in value that 13 mil. we paid for him, one way or another. You go ahead and watch him in the EPL but I sincerely doubt he will set the world on fire, unless he is surrounded with other great players like he was with Lyon and gets a less important/demanding role. He will succed in Portuguese League, that's for sure, but in the clubs of the highest calibre where he would be given an important role and expected to be the an important man in midfield, he will fail, I am sure of that. I don't care if he is not that kind of player, I know what will you tell me (that he is an utility player, he links up wit the rest of the midfield, bla, bla...) but I will tell you that kind of players are not that important for clubs and he can be realtively easily replaced (Lyon and Chelsea never missed him and his departure didn't reflect on their play at all) so I don't really understand what will we lose with him leaving? We gained nothing from him and we won't lose nothing, I won't be spilling my tears for an average player who didn't leave his mark on Juventus at all. Let him go, he was a big mistake from the beggining. Now, I am tired of repeating this story and this was the 1st time I expressed my exact feelings ( I did a Cronios :D ) and I hope it was the last time also. I wish he would just go in order to everybody forget him soon and close this thread. He is giving me a headache.

You have the right to have your own opinion, but saying he wasn't talented even before he came to Juve is a blasphemy. I'm not going to give you stats of his performances during his stints with Chelsea and Lyon. Tiago was never the dominant player you expected him to be, he was never like that its not his game. Just because he was our star signing last summer doesn't mean he was meant to be our savior and take the reign in the central of the park. Tiago is an damn fine player, if used properly.

Yes he didn't "impress" much over here, due to bad coaching decisions, too much pressure from the media and of course lack of cohones from his part.

The reason why Molinaro comes up here is because the only reason why he wasn't labeled a "flop" or something hideous is because he played most of the matches.

Take a few of his matches and then bench him, and the media will label him some pretty nasty stuff.

But no. Instead the media comes out with glorious stories of Molinaro being called up to the Azzurri. He's the worst fucking left-back I've ever seen.
