No CL for any of the legends. It hurts even though it makes sense it still fucking hurts.

As a few others have said before this may be the strongest Juve there has been for some time but its the 'least' Juve like team in many ways.

Chiellini and Barza are all thats left. Please god let us win ithe CL while they are here.

So a 4-2-3-1 With Cuads or Berna on the right with Dybala and Costa on the left isnt ok? We will have a very fluid team this season that will change from a 4-4-2 to a 4-3-3 to 4-2-3-1 in a game
No because, unless we have someone to compensate for ALOT of the midfields balance next to Pjanic, 2 man midfield in 4-2-3-1 is a disaster waiting to happen in big CL games. We already saw our midfield be overrun in CL 2 years ago, in the final. It cant cope, and going from 3 man CMs to a 2 man one isnt exactly an improvement for this team. No matter how hard the wingers work, they arent CMs...Every opponent you face will basically have 3 CMs against you, and if its vs likes of Real or Barca, it will be vastly more technical midfield. Heck even Tottenham midfield ran ours ragged.

We destroyed Barca two years ago with a 2 man mid of Pjanic-Khedira. Just saying.

Aside from this, I do wish we signed another mid this summer. But Marchisio is clearly not in Allegri's plans going forward. He's hardly played the last 1.5 seasons since returning from his injury. It doesn't matter what nostalgia we may have for him, he's currently a fringe player who doesn't play and his loss doesn't weaken our mid in the slightest, outside numbers.

If anything the club treated him like the legend he is by buying out and rescinding his contract and allowing him a free choice to go wherever he wants now.

What I'm curious to see now is what happens with Bernadeschi this year. 5 CMs is very light. Will be interesting if Max really does convert him to more of a midfielder. CAM is his best position from the past, and he's played winger, though I'd argue his qualities suit CM better.

Even Roma can do that.

What has always made me extra proud about being a Juventino is bc this was never a solely a big league soccer club.

It’s that it’s a family. It’s a home. The Bandiera, the tradition, the unity.

This summer started off amazing by bringing the best player in the world into our family. Yes, Ronaldo is bigger than Buffon, Marchisio, Chiellini, Barzagli, but he still isn’t the head of the household here. The spine of this team is/was the above mentioned.

Now ? What are we ? We’re a big corporation team. We’ve lost our Italian spine, our Bandiera, the players who make us Juventus. We’re a body with no spine.

You don’t have to agree with me, but I want Juventus to win with Juventini.

The days of Del Pietro, Nedved, Camo, Trez, passing the torch to Buffon Then Buffon, Marchisio, Barzagli, and now Chiellini are gone

Lifting the CL trophy is going to feel a lot different than I’be always expected

Aside from sentimentality because of his history here, how is losing a CM who doesn't play horrible?
Bc Juventus has morphed into something else for the time being. It’s not necessarily a bad thing, but it’s different.

The Bandiera is gone. The family is gone. We’re lethal assisans now.
