Bizarre that it went down so suddenly. My guess is whatever issue the club has with him, they gave him a second chance this preseason and it still exists. So now he is gone.

3.5 m is net income for Marchisio, Juve is paying him around 7m (or even more dunno what is the actual cost for the company, but thats the gross value). so in 2 years its around 14m.

But why would we pay him a big chunk of that to terminate his contract? If we are paying him money and getting no transfer fee, wouldn't it be smarter to keep him for Pjanic backup? That is unless Allegri thinks he is completely useless, which he isn't.

Only way I understand a 2 man CM is if we play 3-4-3, the defence being extra covered with that and wingbacks who can work both ways.

He isnt useles but also isnt as good as Pjanic and now Bentancur as well so hes 3rd best in his position.

So a 4-2-3-1 With Cuads or Berna on the right with Dybala and Costa on the left isnt ok? We will have a very fluid team this season that will change from a 4-4-2 to a 4-3-3 to 4-2-3-1 in a game

So is Marchisio unfortunately. I love Marchisio but its funny how people want youth but as soon as you try to give younger players time people complain. Marchisio did us well and is a legend but his level isnt good enough anymore to justify him being that far behind in the rotation

No one would complain if Bentancur got more time, I just in no way think he is currently better than Marchisio.

It's sad to see him go but I can understand why he/management made this decision.

Good decision from him and nice of the management to terminate his contract. Can still give plenty of good years to a decent team (like Monaco) instead of rotting on the bench as our last choice mid for the foreseeable future.
