I feel we might look harder at Zuniga to man LWB so Asamoah can backup CM.
I gotta ask.. If this actually works out, do you see Conte fielding Zuniga as a LWB and puts Asa on the bench or rotate him with someone from the PPV (Pirlo Pogba Vidal)?

I honestly cant see that kind of scenario, actually even if we sign a true, natural wing-back (say Zuniga or Kolarov, as we are linked with both since I dont know, forever..), so this new guy who comes days before the season opening I see more like an upgrade over Peluso/Padoin/Isla other than a starter in this Juve team. And also, why most of the people here still dont rate Kwadwo as a LWB, refuse to give him the credit he deserves after last season and insist that we need/must sign a LWB, "because he isnt a true wing-back and he must play as a CM"? Even if this position is new to Asa, he did quite good job last campaign and to be honest, with the stats and performance like his, there arent actually many players who are better than him, on the contrary, you can count them by using your fingers on one of your hands (Yes, I just said that Kwadwo is a top 5 LWB in Europe atm)..

I have to agree with this. There isn't much wrong with what Asamoah has been doing as a LWB. He's got pace, a good understanding with the rest of the mid, good control of the ball and the ability to send in a good cross. Anything that we sign should be as a back-up to Asamoah rather than a way to push him back into an already stacked middle of the park.

I don't agree with this. Shouldn't buy anyone with the mentality of playing him as back-up; that was with Padoin and Peluso. A new LWB can rotate with Asamoah, fight for best 11 position (by performance on the pitch) and that would alsp allow Asamoah to rotate with Marchisio. I think Marchisio's performances depends a lot on his fitness levels, so to get the best out of Marchisio he shouldn't be played more than once a week.

This is actually what I meant to say. What I was trying to get at is that whoever we sign shouldn't be considered #1 over Asamoah straight away as Asa has proved himself to be a more than competent LWB. Healthy competition for the spot between 2 players would be ideal, as we did with Ogbonna, not something along the line of another Peluso or Padoin.

The channel that broadcasts Serie A games here just called Marchisio a defender. :sergio: First their coverage of the league is shit, then the people they pay to talk about it don't know anything.

zuniga would be a backup for asamoah, in case the opponents rightwing is shit, or parks the buss and we need offensive talent.

Good. Zuniga to asamoah can be like what Isla is supposed to be to Lichtsteiner.

Just dont expect them to be starters

30-35 days is ok. Thank goodness it wasn't worse, as it is with these knee injuries sometimes. We have plenty of cover in midfield, the one area where we are ridiculously stacked.
Depends, when is the CL starting ?

guys remember we have a tough schedule in september-october just in serie a alone.

pogba is great and all but i would rather have marchisio and pogba fighting out than pogba and padion for a spot.

alternative is asamoah in center, but that weakens our LWB (peluso is okay, but not disciplined like asa)

pepe hasnt played an entire season so i dont count on him to be fit. marrone is meh.

we should give isla a shot i ncenter
