I do understand the reasoning behind not selling him for all that money. Him being a Juve product and what that represents weighs a lot in this equation. But, if he wasn't a Juve product and Monaco offered 35m for him I'd sell him since we're very stacked in the middle. Pogba's continued development is expected while Asamoah could step into the middle and become a full time CM with a new LWB.

Why shall we sell someone if we "possibly" have a better player in his position and we'd still need to replace him?
We don't have to replace him because we already have better options or at least just as good. Why sell him? Because if funding a proper forward is a problem and his sale can fix that, then it is totally worth it.

We're a top attacker or two away from being really strong on all lines. If we have money to buy the attacker(s), I wouldn't sell Marchisio. If not, then I'd look for ways to get money. Naturally, the solution would be to sell a starter for a good price. But the starter would have to be someone who's easier to replace. Players that can bring us +15m eur are Bonucci, Chiellini, Pogba, Marchisio, Vidal and Vucinic. The defenders should be untouchable because the unit they created has proven itself as a great one. It's not the right time to sell Vidal and Pogba. They will cost even more. That leaves us Marchisio and my favorite Vucinic. Basically, it's about getting the money and doing less damage to the team with the sales. If we do need money, then every 30m eur offer for Marchisio or a 15m eur offer for Vucinic should be considered.

I am for his sale for a good price, and that is about 35 milions or even 30.For that money you can buy Nainggolan who is younger and maybe even at the same level of quality or someone similar because Radja is an idiot but..., for about 20 milions and you get yourself a nice spare 10 milions.Pure business, no place for emotions.

Why don't we sell Asamoah then?
