I have to say i'm really disappointed with Marchisio I thought he was out of the whole invisible phase, he's had maybe 2 good games this season, then he just goes missing throughout the entire game.

I can't see what Conte or Prandelli see in this player, Conte should start playing Pogba Vidal and Pirlo more often together

In which games has he actually done anything useful this season? The only one I can remember is against Nord in the CL.

He was abysmal against Inter and invisible in our last match.

I see that a lot of you guys are part of the majority who are for some reason blinded by Marchisio.

Next time you watch him playing seriously look at him and notice how rarely he touches the ball, not just compared to someone like Pirlo who is always available for the ball, or Vidal who tirelessly tracks back to make important tackles..but just as a footballer in general.

A lot of running to no use..

His first poor game this season was Inter game, which was incidently everyone's worst game more or less. Otherwise quite consistent and a been a prime candidate for our standout player so far.

Anyway. On the goals and assists side in the league, he could've done a bit better, but his workrate has simply been phenomenal this season, and he has a passing accuracy averaging at 86.7 % in 17 appearances. Late winner against Siena away, man of the match against Napoli at home, 1 goal and 2 assists in 4 CL matches. Just to mention a few things.

Edit: And man, was he really great against Roma at home. Absolutely brilliant.

i'm sorry I still don't share the same opinion, player of the month or not..which was voted by juventus players themselves i'm assuming.

All i'll say is, watch replays of games we played or our next games and watch him closely, he almost never opens up for the ball he has a habit of hiding behind players. I'd consider him the opposite of Pogba and Pirlo who always make themselves available for the ball and participate in a LARGE amount of the game.

Pirlo/Vidal > Marchisio
Pogba is on the way

You must know very little about the defensive aspects of the game. This is where he truly excels. However, he also provides the occasional assist and goal. What more can you ask of a midfielder of his type? Maybe you're just not into this type of football player.

29? Oh, that explains it. You're from 2010.

Well I don't enter arguments with the sole objective of turning around the other person's views. I just want to voice my own opinions on the topics that I'm interested in, and in this case I just wanted to give some reasons as to why I think Marchisio is having a very good season so far.

As I said in the other thread, this moron has just woken up from a cryogenic freeze that he went into during Zaccheronis time at club.

Marchisio has been our most consistent player (by far) this season. No two ways about it.
