Basically what he already said himself, he scored some goals and people went 'woweeeeee', as if he does nothing else.
His role in this team should be very important, though. We have Vidal who should offer him more space too with his aggressive play. He should be offering many assists even if we have Pirlo. And I want to point out that I do like Vidal - Pirlo - Marchisio trio, but I don't think he's delivering.

To me he looks like he's playing for a different team, his role looks to weird. His passes are always short and he tries to play fast, while he's the only player who does that. And his long passes this season are pretty much painful.

I think we're less of a team without him.
We are. But that's basically because we have nobody to jump in from the bench.

Padoin is far from being that good while Marrone is just a hot potential.

You're right about that. It's like he's playing in a different system from the rest of the team. He just makes the short passes and moves, ready to receive it again, but no one else on the team really plays like that. So often I see him pass and make a good run but the other players don't see it because they've already decided to play it wide or to Pirlo (especially Giaccherini - zero/zero vision). He's certainly not a very direct player.

Whether it's by the coach's design or that's just the only way he knows to play, I don't know. He would do well in a team like Roma or Arsenal.

what is that supposed to mean.
Which part?

Either Conte instructs him to play short passes and moves without attempting to be adventurous with his passing because we have Pirlo. Or that's just the way he plays and it doesn't fit the team's style perfectly (although he still is a major asset to the team). It's probably the latter anyway; he's always played like this.

And he would do well at those teams because that's how they play - pass and move, pass and move.

Even with the drop in his form, he's still one of our best players in this season. People didn't notice that half our team had a quite a drop in form, Licht, Vidal, Vucinic, Matri.., all had a average start of the year.

They noticed, they just have a scapegoat for them and refuse to admit it

Yep, totally agree with that. But that style reminds me too much of Barcelona, too.

One of our best players i wanted to say, Barzagli is our MVP.
Barzagli, Chiellini, Licht and Pirlo were all better.

Its like a contest between marchisio and giovinco fanboys to see who is more pathetic.
You know what, Giovinco's case is rather calm now, he's not being overrated that much nowadays. But this is something just laughable.

Other than Barzagli, the other three are all arguable.

Chiellini was average in the beginning of the year, Pirlo had his share of poor games and Licht hasn't been his usual self in a strech of games.

Marchisio was critical in getting so many points earlier in the season.
