Yeah, it irks me that very rich 25 year olds aren't willing to wait at least until the end of their career before putting out a book.

Do they really need the cash that much?

Different if any of them donate the proceeds to a good cause.
Marchisio's book revenues are for charity.

All that doesn't change the fact that Marchisio had a rather poor season and anyone who denies that must check their brains but props to those who believed he had the potential to do well in a better team/system. I didn't.
This is what I've been looking for. It's not really about the question of rating Marchisio's previous seasons, of course he could've and should've done better in it (though calling them poor is too much, he's hardly ever flopped in the last season); the real problem is that people here have been pouring sand and rain on him and treated him as if he'll never be good enough for Juve, much like Motta and Martinez to them. Well some of us simply don't think so yet the insults just keep coming back.

Now that Marchisio is having a great season, which is something that they think would never happen, there's no doubt that every one who believe in Marchisio deserves the permission to say the phrase 'I told you so'.

That's a weak thing to do.

I myself, kept believing in Marchi even in his worst times/moments but I DO understand those who criticized him because the whole squad in the past 2years were doing badly. Also, if you me or anyone else believed in Marchi more than anyone else at that time it doesn't make you or me a bigger fan than the others.

Is this true, o Tuz people?
I never said that it's a good thing to do but I DO think they deserve it.

A fan of him, yes it kind of does.

Mate, there's a difference between not believing in a player and criticizing a player. Those who wished Marchisio to be sold are different than those who weren't satisfied with his performance and wanted him to give more.

Majority here, wanted Marchisio either benched because he was playing out of position. That's something normal. And you have no right to say if they deserve it or not unless they wanted him out of the team completely and sold.

If I have to sit down and tell each one who doubted Del Piero or asked him to be benched "I told you so" I wouldn't finish in a week AND it wouldn't be right.

I believe you can consider yourself a bigger fan of a player than X when X insults or disrespect this player. But if they criticize or doubt him then it's part of the game and everyone should accept it.

I know, I've made it clear that I was referring to people who didn't believe in him and treated him like Motta and Martinez (the constant joke and degrading comments), it's you who suddenly mention about people who (overly) criticized him so it looked as if I did but I'm not referring to them.

What's the big deal here? His supporters has endured months of insults and jokes, they're entitled to say something.

Lol...Is it a legit autobiography, or just a minor book an author decided to write about him?

I get if you arent at the end of your career but still write a book, if you are someone like Cassano, eventful and chaotic career for sure, but your typical normal mid 20s player? Naaah.

I don't think there is one serious person on the forum who doesn't like Marchisio this season. The critique he got the past few seasons was justified - and everyone has agreed that he is great this season. I still don't see why the cheesio clan are getting all worked up with the "He's showing his haters". No one hated him on a personal level - so that comment seems redundant.

It's basically a legit autobiography. Not sure what his own input was in writing it, but 100% official.

I remember being in Turin after it was published. Hadn't heard about it & couldn't believe it either. A book detailing Gio's life & career so far, complete with baby pics & similar stuff. And this when he was in his early 20ies & was nothing more than a benchwarmer. Tells you a lot about the hype surrounding him at the time.

It doesn't matter if they hated him or not; they acted like they did. I have more respect for people who actually hate him but show respect by not insulting him.

I believe there are only a few people here who actually dislike Marchisio (and his fans) but things then got a bit too much and people following him/her to do and saying stupid things.

No one hated him on a personal level. And even if this was the case, they had no place to vent that anger because hating personally on a juventus player will get you an infraction on the boards.
