Marchisio: 'So much for rumours...'

“Just two months ago I heard reports I was on the transfer market,” smiled current Juventus and Italy hero Claudio Marchisio.

The young midfielder moved up through the Bianconeri youth academy to become a key figure who scored three goals in two games for Juve and the Azzurri.

“It’s true, just two months ago I heard reports I was on the transfer market and read that nobody had faith in me,” said Marchisio.

“Instead, the truth was that Juve had a lot of faith in my abilities. It is an honour for me to be compared to a great champion like Marco Tardelli.”

Marchisio is the player that embodies the Juventus spirit of the next 5 years. Bet your life on it. If he plays good, Juve will play good. If he plays great, Juve will be great. Thankfully I have full confidence in this remarkable player. He was a diamond in the rough the last few seasons, but Conte really made him shine.
