First half he was quiet. Second half he was involved a lot more, but pretty mediocre overall. He did a couple of good passes (like to Matri and Chiellini) and worked more towards the left side, but did more bad passes, first time ones that gave possession away in bad areas. Milan dominated most of the possession regardless, and for around 20 minutes of the second half he was doing the running for both Melo and himself, as Melo was moving badly after the first half collision with Boateng that saw him go off.

Unlike some others, I dont think he is a straight CM at all, he doesn't have the physique for it. He is better in that midfield three, ideally you'd put a good wide attacker in front of him and an attacking left back behind him.

But he's not good enough to make it worth adjusting the shape of the team just to suit him.
