2 games, TWO EXCELLENT PERFORMANCES.
I know I criticise him quite a bit around here. But thats because I want to see him step up like he has down in the last two games. Especially first half tonight, he usually plays well off the ball with his movement, but tonight was seriously just taking the ball and dribbling extremely well and winning ground, passing when needed to, and passing offensively, not just sideway passes he usually does when he hides from initiative.
For example, that chance Matri missed? Was a counter, there were 2 alternatives Claudio could pass to, but never did it occur to me he would pass to Matri on the far right. Made a delicate and precise pass to him.

Yeah, agreed. A good performance tonight (though I can't really say the same for the one against Palermo, aside from the goal). Actually got involved, was productive going forward, showed some nice technical skill on the ball. Looked useful, rather than shying away from taking responsibility. It's aggravating in the sense that we got a glimpse of some potential, but it's sporadic over the season.
Love it when he performs.
