Disagree with the sell part, but I agree with your point. Offers very little in his current position. Goals like yesterday have been his "get out of jail free" card for too long now. It doesn't change the fact that for the remaining 89 min of the game he is usually invisible, providing little width or service into the box, something even the much less talented Pepe can do.
He is such a frustrating player. He has such obvious quality but he doesn't show it on a consistent basis, either across 90 minutes or from match to match.
I want to see him back in the middle so it puts pressure on Aquilani to play a more commanding style. Both are playing "safe" games every match because there is no competition for their spots. The in form player should partner Melo.
