He'd be on the bench with a good left winger
Of course that is possible. Depends who this good left winger is though.

And I'm not claiming that he should be a long term choice for the LW but he has been fine so far and has been one of the best available options recently.
Im still waiting for an answer to my question. Not silly remarks.

But I guess those silly remarks answer the fucking question, doesn't it?

Thought so.

get him off the wing.
Ok.

1. He defends, holds the ball and makes supporting runs forward.
2. See number #1
3. I care about our team being able to properly keep our fullbacks from being exposed to constant pressure like they were last season under the 4-3-1-2

I didn't see any other questions in your post.

he doesn't go round the fullback, he maintains the line of 3 in the middle, while Krasic is allowed to really push forward on the right hand side.

it's a coaching thing, it's not because he's inept, he has shown that he's a skillful player in the past.

also gets into decent attacking positions as well.

and I remember clearly some player also said that we are a sort of 4-3-3...I think Pepe?

just because we are listed as 4-4-2 doesn't mean we should play a fixed image of it.

I would think, with a quality LW or versatile SS we could play a very effective 4-3-3 with Melo, Marchisio and Aquilani.

But look, Marchisio is a great player to have for any team. He gives it his all, can prove decisive, has great technique, composure and a footballing brain. A very versatile player.

But we aren't a 4-3-3 no matter how many times that gets said around here. Del Neri has a very clear idea of what system he wants and he admitted that even Krasic, while a good signing, is not his ideal type of winger.

You're thinking of Aquilani buddy
was it? my bad...he assisted Quag recently, I think vs Cesena

another super assist was to Trez against Munich last year.

a proper LB would be enough to 'fix' the left hand side.

we say it a lot, but a Juve player also asserted that.

a proper finisher up front, two decent fullbacks, and this team would be pretty much complete.

He seems "fine" in the role because he doesn't make mistakes. But that isn't all that we need out there.

Fair enough then. I simply disagree and don't like using players out of position and not having any sort of attacking threat wide left. If you look at the Roma match, we had nothing from his side, and that needs to be addressed. But it probably won't be.

Yes, we have Krasic wide right, but nobody wide left.

The whole point of the straight 4-4-2 is to spread the pitch. If you only have one side doing all the attacking, you have a failed system.

Use the 4-3-3 then.

Nobody is saying he's not a good player. But you can't have a side filled with utility players.

We are playing 4-3-3 but we just don't have someone on the left up top to complete the 4-3-3 as it should. We are playing 4-4-2/4-3-3.

He is ok out there, he should still play over the alternatives until Martinez is fit.

But if there is an injury in the center he will definitely play over Sissoko.

Not making mistakes and maintaining a simple passing game is one of the hardest things to manage in football.

Anyway when Martinez returns i'd like to see a proper 4-3-3, with Martinez and Krasic flanking Quag.

I think he could be as good as Melo for us in the middle but Melo seems more direct and quick in his dicisions. If he dribbles he takes off right away and it puts him in better positions than Marchisio who waits around and then they get numbers behind him. He needs to play quicker and he will be more effective
