I'd say that marchisio is better than what DDR was at this age but only time will tell if he becomes as good I guess
I disagree.

De Rossi won his first Italy cap aged 21, Marchisio hasn't even been seriously considered for a call up.

suppose but what can you account for his club games.
I'm of the opinion that the coach was pulling a Sven-Walcott

Their playing styles are similar, and Marchisio could become a better player if he keeps developing. De Rossi was ahead of him at this age, though.

De Rossi - Marchisio as a future partnership for the Italian NT looks very good.

you missed the time frame of the comparison
No, I didn't. De Rossi was miles ahead of him.

Marchisio has a lot of work to do.

Nah.

De Rossi is arguably the best in the world in his position.

Do you think Marchisio can get to that level?
I agree with that opinion, he's the complete package, by far the best CM in italy. And on his day he can be a world beater.

I am not going to be stupid and make a silly prediction, but I'd like to say I've been impressed by the games in which marchisio has played very well in not all are good but the very good one are what count. DDR had many games like this at his age and and you can see these quantified with exprience. Marchisio has a good attitude to the game so I see no reason why he can't become a class player for Italy similar to the stature of DDR.

Umm, NO WAY, not even close (to being better, having similar progression is somewhat similar though). Marchisio is 23, DDR was great when he was 23, part of the NT squad for a while (in contention since age 20), playing in the WC, all in all a somewhat proven player.

Marchisio progression is quite nice, but hardly better then DDR 3 years ago. We can only hope Marchisio becomes as good, let alone better, for that to happend, he is ALOT to do and accomplish.

I find Marchisio very promising and couple of years off of being a nice top player ala Chiellini progression, but De Rossi's highest level is ridicolously high. Its very optimistic of us to think he will reach that absolute world class level, lets see what he has in store, so far quite promising.

Lets not overreact, it was a pretty harmless shot only went in thank to a cunt called Blasi.
What overreacting? He's the only one who actually takes shots from midfield these days, and I'm not talking about Pavel's pathetic grass trimmers and Momo's cannons aimed at the Ultras.

Oh, and Marchisio and De Rossi I would love to see as a duo for the Azzurri.

I never had the De Rossi love that people are tossing around here. He still has a lot to prove to me and accomplish in my book -- other than winning a World Cup while spending most of his time serving a four-match ban.

I can't see why. He carries that loser club on his back while Totti gets all the credit walking around doing nothing for the last 2 seasons. Even Roma get embarassed, he always can leave with his head high knowing he gave a masterful performance. Dude does the attacking and defending of the rest of his teammates combined.
