Vucinic would play on the left like last season where he did so well. And the 4-3-1-2's narrow midfield would limit Pirlo and even make him a liability.

That was a 4-2-3-1 with Camorenesi, Dinatale and god knows who else... plus he's improved out of site from those days.
Either way, it's not like 4-3-3 was anything special last season. Italian teams have rarely done well in that formation. It would be worth doing some experimenting though, since top3 in Serie A won't be a problem.
