Your comment in the Vidal thread and your reluctance to pass any critique in the way of Marchisio more than gives a full picture of what you mean. This is really what it's all about, for me.

I am not denying that we are used to this Marchisio than the one from the first 6 weeks of the season. The thing is, I wish we can see that Marchisio again but I agree about the bravery part, it is the most logical reason.

The sad reality is, even in that "brief spike in form" that included the bulk of his goals, he played games wherein he did nothing apart from said goals.

Just goes to show how much a nice volley can shield a player (and dazzle his sheep).
