He was very good today. Adapted to a role he hasn't been playing just fine. Didn't exactly fill Vidal's shoes, but was damn close to doing so. He kept it simple, pressed and passed to Pirlo - good job.

He's not playing with the forwards as much as he used to, a lot of the time he was going for a 1-2 with someone like Vucinic but now is making his game more basic. It could be because of the change in shape, as he's got to be more alert defensively. Still did alright.

With Vidal coming back, hopefully we go back to the 433 so he can link up with the front 3 like he was before xmas.

He almost converted that Pirlo pass as well, was an awkward angle though. That's what I like of him, how he squeezes into those kinds of positions.
