If we sign Aquilani we will negotiate his wages. It's gonna be a new deal.
Now, if we still end up paying him 3.3m eur then you can bet that I'll complain even more than I do about Marchisio's contract. We'll be literally rewarding players who make us a mid-table team.

He was highly rated than Marchisio for sure and, most important, he's a loan. We didn't pay for his transfer and we simply inherited his wages. It's not like it was Juve who offered him those wages.
Yes I agree, he was highly rated. But when did he ever deliver on it? A little flash here and there. Big time floppo at Liverpool and even worse he was publicly criticized by Rafa Benitez for having such a weak mentality while he was Liverpool manager.

Thank you but they won't get it as they see God in him.

They can't take the Juve goggles off.
God? Please.

He was the fourth lowest earner in the first team.

In the real world there's a thing called parity and it's especially rife in football. Nothing new, it's how wages have been dictated forever and it's how they will continue to be dictated so I don't get why it's such a big deal now all of a sudden. It's the biggest problem about having 'football agents'.

2.5M is a touch high on his current form, but it certainly demonstrates a strong commitment by the club, which the player will certainly recognize; hopefully Claudio's appreciation is evident on the pitch. ;) It's not the type of contract that is impossible to move either - not by any stretch.

Kind of shocked that some people actually still say that he didn't deserve a raise from 1M. For me that's silly.

I like the player, and I'm glad he'll be a part of this team moving forward.
