Has Marchisio been played into bad form by constantly playing him at LM instead of his more natural central role? Every time he plays it reminds me of the world cup again.

Maybe with another 2 games in the center he'll play himself into a bit of form?? :xfinger:

I think when played in the correct position he's a decent player. He's just not as good as Melo and Aquillani. But i wouldn't get rid of him, he's the type of player that would rape us every time he played against us...

God, how people here change their opinion on players just because of one game!
Yeah he sucked, but so did Chiellini, Krasic, Aquilani and the test was even worse! Even Del Neri was bad.. Marchisio needs to play in a team that moves together in attack and back in defense. He keeps running but he does seem like a headless chiken because he's alone! And I agree with some saying he would fit better in a 4-3-3 or play him CM for more than just one game! The kid keeps playing LM witch dosent help his improvement!

And no I'm not a fanboy just because I got him In my avatar.

People change their opinion a lot in here. You should have gotten used to it by now.

On Marchisio, yeah, he was almost invisible in the last 2 games. I'm a fan on him myself, but right now he deserves this criticism. He should step his game up, like other players should too. Having him playing as a LW doesn't help much too.

He shouldn't be invisible but he should be the quietest player in our team, that is the position he is forced to play because of tactical limitations and his own. Maybe not yesterday as he was playing CM, but when he plays that LM role he is playing a stifling role to protect our cartoon character left backs.

I wish he would show for the ball and impose himself a bit more. At times he seems like just a straggler out there. He's like a Busquets that just sits around without the good players around him.

Yes, in hiding. I really did not see him, he is decent in disguise.
I disagree with that.
He was the only one of our 4 mids who at least tried to plug the (many) holes & win back some balls. The fact that he didn't really succeed in that has, imo, a lot to with Alberto "Why don't you do it, I don't really feel like making an effort right now" Aquilani's hesitance.

But he, just like the rest of the team, obviously needs to do better. Decent doesn't cut it as far as I'm concerned.
