I would say chiellini , sure he's aggressive but it comes off in his attitude in the last 5 minutes of a match I want him yelling out command

I love Chiellini but he's not a leader. He doesn't have the charisma to carry a team on his back. I don't even know if Marchisio has it yet but I'm pretty sure he's more likely to develop leadership abilities before Chiello.

Marchisio seems to be in his own world most of the time. Again, Chiellini has been doing it for a while now. Do you think he's not being doing well?
It's not about doing well, its just that i think Chiellini doesn't have the strong personality that some think he has. Like i've said, he looks tough and aggressive but every time that i've seen him in either interviews or even when they gave him that oscar trophy couple of years ago, He really looked shy and awkward. Even giovinco looked more confident than he was.....

It's a player's personality on the pitch and in the dressing room that matters, not what he is like rest of the time, and Chiellini is certainly a strong character on the pitch.

I'm not convinced he is a leader, though. Not yet anyway.

I meant he is doing well as the captain. He is very assertive and confident and is one of the few that can lift the team (like Buffon and Del Piero) in difficult moments.

Marchisio is a bad ass in his own way but he seems a bit introverted and I can't see him providing a confident, commanding presence especially when he goes missing a lot of the time. He has done nothing to show that he could be a captain.

I'd rather have a cool-headed captain.
Chiellini can still have a big impact on a game.
Tough call tho, it's like good-cop, bad-cop. You need both.

Sure. I guess i meant more personality wise. He does get into scuffles and fights but that's not a bad thing.

they'd both be good, I'm just personally leaning towards Marchisio.

If you're talking about a couple seasons ago when he was just a kid in the squad, yeah he got into fights. And the Zlatan one was understandable. He has matured a lot over the last 2 seasons and in fact tends to be a peacemaker when there are spats on the field now.

Ahmed's opinion doesn't count for much here. He's saving his maidenhood for Marchisio.

Marchisio prove's himself time and again to be no more than a utility player - he does nothing but hard running for the midfield - provides no direction whether playing in the middle or on the wing
