i think he was close to that last season.. was good for most of it just injuries dropped his form here and there but overall he was good..
meh he was good at times but suffered when the team did poorly.

He still hasn't had as good of a season as he is well capable of.
Marchisio does just fine and has done just fine, he has nothing to prove to anyone. He is great. End of discussion.
If he wants an improved contract right now then he should up his pre-season form.

It sounds like Claudio is trying to cash in on his recent stint with the Azzurri. The club are right to remind everyone he is signed until 2014. If Claudio plays as well as we all know he can this season I would expect a contract extension with the club.

As much as I love Marchisio, he is not above the club.

Chiellini is doing his part better, but that doesn't mean they can't be comapared. They're both good and the margin between them isn't great. Chiellini has been more consistant which makes a difference. But it's not funny at all to compare the 2.

Some of the senior Players, Del Piero, Buffon, Trez ... need to sit down with Marchisio and show them the medals.

I like him a lot and think he can be with us for years but first he needs to understand he has achived nothing yet, so should concentrate on Winning us Silverware!!

As his agent put it, Claudio simply answered some friends' questions about how the contract negotiations are going. He shouldn't have done that via FB that's for sure, but still, the club shouldn't have reacted the way they did. By that they simply gave the press some fresh meat to feed on and looked like they jumped on the player's back as well.

All in all it's just media exaggerating a simple incident out of place.
