Maybe it's me, but he looks a bit on the heavy side. He has spent a lot of time in the gym rebuilding his leg muscles and I feel as if it's a lot of bulk that goes into protecting his knee but is hampering his performance.

Marchisio has always had a very light frame and I think he needs to get that back by playing more games.
It comes with age. If you notice, players who are old tends to get buff. Defoe, Buffon, etc. it may not be a bad thing if the added weight is made up of powerful muscles.

such addition to our team is a good thing.

I can see why you made that mistake. He really was off tonight. It was like playing with 2 Khediri
Stop dissing kherina

Nah, we need a Rincon/Sturaro type of player at the end.
This.

What we really needed, was someone who would sprint at players and challenge them.
Marchisio is far superior overall. But we just needed pressure and challenges, a physical presence that would sprint down those gaps and players

Which is exactly what rincon did. Notice how they had a hard time getting through the middle at the end

we needed a top marchisio who could take on the barca midfielders. prime marchisio was a pretty relentless tackler, good in duels, with great anticipation, and also way better with the ball than any of our current squad players. too bad that currently he's out of form, so allegri turned to rincon.

i get max's choice, it's clear that physically claudio is not (yet) the player he used to be.

yeah.. i 100% trust in him... but when offform is a liability. Stil i think he could be ready for the return... but allegri will need to asses what wil happen there...maybe we will need dynamos

sadly our dynamos are very bad in everything but tackling

Sad he didnt have a part to play tonight. Understandable though.
That's the beauty of depth. Khedira keeps getting better IMO you simply can't take him off because we miss Marchisio that's not how it works know what I mean?

As long as we keep winning all is well for me.

I still don't understand why we brought on Lemina and Rincon instead of Marchisio though.
