Marotta: "I never thought of selling Marchisio. Neither now nor ever. For us, the speech ends here. Last season, we extended his contract, a clear demonstration on how important he is to our team"
Why is that even excite or fap worthy? I mean FFS, him and Chiellini are pretty much the sure fire duo amongst our players who are pretty much guranteed to retire in our shirt (Gigi too, but he has pretty much already spent a decade and half here already, understandable if few years from now he would want to unwind somewhere else).
Actually Cheesio is nowhere near as important as Chiello or Buffon for this squad. You take either one of Chiello or Gigi out and that squad won't exactly be the same. As for Claudio there will be no void left if he leaves and on top of that we can make a huge lump of cash (which is way more than he is actually worth).
Let's be straight, people don't love him for his skills or what he contributes to the team. They/We love him because he's a youth product, been around for years and he has been pampered, management tried to make him the new poster boy. He is a good player, above average that doesn't warrant a 35mil Euro price tag and if someone values him at that, sell his ass and add Giovinco as a complimentary gift.

“We would only look at this again if a stratospheric offer, one not in line with the market, was made. But, up to this point in time, that has not happened.”
Now read between the lines. Could be sold for the right price. Nothing has changed.

Not even Monaco is insane enough to offer 30mln for him. But if they do, we're gonna consider that offer for sure. Too good offer to miss, he's simply not worth it.
