This bunch of clowns who we call our management need to get on one page, and sort this shit out. Really running out of patience with how things are ran at our club.

Bettega meets Gentile
And 'he the boatman?

Gazzetta with google translate:)

To Juve in the morning meeting between the two former comrades: Dear accept? Meanwhile, Benitez remains the first choice for the future. After the draw with Wolverhampton Spaniard has only said: "The speculation about his future, I was not distracted"

Claudio Gentile, 56 years. LaPresse TURIN, January 27, 2010 - Claudio Gentile is on its way to Turin, where this morning's meeting with Roberto Bettega, vice general manager of Juventus. The two former classmates at the turn of the seventies and eighties, will discuss the assumption that Gentile would take the bench currently occupied by Ciro Ferrara for tack than a free fall that within two months has seen the club for Juventus exit earlier the Champions League and then losing ground in the championship finally exiting from the fight for the Scudetto. For the former National Under-21 coach of the opportunity to return. But accept the role of a ferry or ask for more guarantees for the future. Juve, in perspective, may also offer other technical roles. But in the coming hours we will know more.

I really know little about either Gentile or Zaccheroni if I'm honest.. judging on reactions people would prefer this guy over Zac to lead us for the rest of the season?

As that's what it's looking like.. a caretaker til the end of the season, then a new coach for longer term? Unless it's all a smokescreen for Guus ;)

Honestly our board is stupid but with a good coach there is no way she shoulf be lower than 3rd. Our management is making mistakes but at the end of the day they brought some decent players in and we definatley should have been better than the last two seaons. Its funny that we would love to have Ranieri right now. At least we would be very organized

Ranieri has done a decent job if you put the 7 straight draws aside
BUT I wouldn`t want him back he is not a coach that wins titles
We need a winner

'Gentile accepts Juve role' Thursday 28 January, 2010

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

La Gazzetta dello Sport understands Claudio Gentile has accepted an offer to replace Juventus Coach Ciro Ferrara after tonight's Coppa Italia match against Inter.

The 56-year-old, who made 283 appearances for Juventus between 1973 and 1984, left his home in Como yesterday morning for a two-hour meeting with former team-mate Roberto Bettega in Turin.

They discussed technical and tactical aspects of the team as well as the club's current economic situation. Gentile's criticism of Juventus in recent months was also conveniently forgotten.

Juventus apparently turned to Gentile when Giovanni Trapattoni, the Republic of Ireland manager, told John Elkann, the club's patron, that he wouldn't be able to return to Turin for a third stint in charge of the Bianconeri.

Trapattoni is said to have recommended Gentile and put them in touch with a phone call.

Gentile faces competition from Alberto Zaccheroni, but La Gazzetta dello Sport understands Juventus have offered him €250,000 for four months work plus bonuses for success in the Europa League and qualification for the Champions League.

The World Cup winner is believed to have accepted the role and will find out later today if the board have agreed upon his appointment.

Gentile has never coached a club side. His last job ended in 2006 with Italy's Under-21s. He likes to play 4-4-2 and is a bit of a drill sergeant, something Juventus's dressing room dearly needs at the moment.

The length of his prospective contract suggests Elkann wants to make a big name appointment in the summer with Rafa Benitez or Marcello Lippi at the top of the list.

So this is CONFIRMED?? :luckyluke:
