This pitch might be ok if your team is physically strong and your game doesn't rely on the high technical level of your players. This is true for both YB and Mourinho's MU, but it is the opposite of what this Juventus is, especially without Chiellini and Matuidi on the field.
So, no wonder that MU won there without any problems. It was also easily predictable that Juventus would struggle in this away game (personally, I wrote about it here right after the home victory against Valencia).
On such a pitch even the slightest touch can interrupt the movement of the opponent, so YB even didn't have to commit serious fouls to stop Juventus players from playing their sophisticated game. Moreover, they deliberately used this tactic to their advantage.
