Don't know about you guys but 2 and half hours later, I just can't stop hysterically smiling. I can see this continue for a few days atleast. :D

I was watching at work so I missed most of the second half but from what I watched in the first we were pretty shit leaving gaps and tottenham were all over us. Lucky they didn't kill the game off first half.

What formation changes did Euromaxx make second half that got us in the front seat creating chances? I see that Licht and Asamoah came in.

PS

Either that Korean guy Son was really impressive in the first half, much better than I thought he was or Barzagli is showing his age. Barzagli couldn't handle him at all resorted to trying to injure him

WOW! Just finished watching replay after getting home not knowing outcome. No more talk from me about Licht and Sami being past their prime. Without both of them, no Higgy goal. What energy Licht brought to the team when he subbed in.

Disappointing football overall. Goals scored out of individual brilliance. Can't say I'm satisfied with it.

No, I beg to differ. Conte DNA barely got us past the group stage of the CL. That DNA style meant we were predictable, one-dimensional, and had no plan B if we faced adversity.

I'm not saying Juve is fine, but Allegri isn't our main problem right now. Healthy game-changers on the bench and a midfield that can actually control the ball are my biggest concerns at the moment.

Patience was a big factor in favor of Juve today, not so much a specific moment of the Spurs fucking up. Juve fucked up lots today too. It's what you do when those opportunities show themselves and do you capitalize on them?
:agree:

While I don't think Emre Can is some world class star, our midfield could certainly have used him today. Or basically any CM with the technical ability and wherewithal to give Pjanic an outlet when pressed, and move the ball up the pitch as that outlet.

No way man, my bad if it seemed like that, i wasn't meaning it in that 'bashing all that is Juventus' sense  , i was just saying regarding the pessimism during the live thread tonight. :D

On topic: As @Maddy said, the morale boost from this game shouldn't be underestimated either, for the first time in this UCL season luck was on our side for a change, hopefully we can build on this and improve even further, tho injuries again will play a huge factor in our development from here on, the lesser the better.
No one remembers that we were pretty poor against Porto in CL Rof16 last year too. Everyone keeps saying our season took off in January last year, but that was in the league.

We struggled mightily against 10 man Porto, a far inferior team to Spurs, and only Pjaca coming on finally broke them open for a goal that won us that tie. Then the penalty and red card in the return leg in which we also struggled.

We really didn't put in a fantastic performance in CL last season until Barcelona in the QFs. I'm hoping for the same this year. If we can have most everyone important healthy and fit, I could see us surprising quite a few people again.

There was no change in formation. He just put Asa at LB and AS at LM where Matuidi was originally. And Licht for Benatia straight forward. Barza back to CB. But Licht was actually playing as a real RB bombing the line.

Allegri sets the team up to win/draw based on what outcome we require. It differs greatly from team to team and competition to competition. Against Lazio we played not to lose, with the CL game coming up. Only after we reached the fag end of the match did we even try to attack and get bonus points. Max does not care about style or DNA or possession or any of that. Trophies at the end of the season is all that matters. If we win by a single point or a single goal, doesn't matter. Some people might not like it, some may call it un-big-club-like. Those people can fuck off :D
:agree:

Cheers to that.
