2-1 for Real wouldn't be bad at all.
Nah, Real wont do the same Mistake they did 2years ago, it wont be easy for us to score in Delle Alpi, so 2-1 doesn't seem good at all...1-1 would be better....

Figo doesn't fear Juve
Friday 18 February, 2005
Luis Figo missed a penalty in their Champions’ League defeat to Juventus in 2003, but claims Real Madrid are the favourites to go through this time.

“Juve are a great squad, but they are not invincible,” he told Spanish newspaper ‘As’. “We just want to win and keep going forward, as what happened in the past does not concern us anymore.”

Portuguese international Figo saw Gianluigi Buffon save a crucial penalty in the 3-1 Turin victory that sealed the Bianconeri’s passage to the Final, where they eventually lost on penalties to Milan.

“There is still so much talk about that spot-kick,” continued Figo, “but it wasn’t so important to me. We lost 3-1, so it was not decisive.”

Real Madrid have struggled so far in Europe and scraped through in second place, whereas Juve remain unbeaten, but the former World Player of the Year is confident of taking revenge.

“To win 2-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday would be a good result for us,” stated the midfielder.

Yes they would qualify... i noticed that when i read the article... either Figo was high or that article's got some BS in it.

......

The score was 2-0 when figo missed.

It was decisive.

..

Or he's just trying to cover his ass, thinking that it was a long time ago and that everyone would have forgotten it by now. What a jackass.

I think if you want to hold the ball, Del Piero would be a better option than Trezeguet. Del Piero helps out the midfield, closes down spaces and is a better passer. even if he loses the ball a lot while attempting to dribble, he's still an added player. Trezeguet is invisible and we'd be making a lot more crosses and less ball possesion with him on the field.
I agree....

I want this team to start against Real Madrid:

----Del Piero--Trezeguet (they know eachother and have rutine)

Nedved-Blasi-Emerson-Camo (No changes there)

Zamb-Canna-Thuram-Zebina (no changes there either)

----------Buffon (who else?)

This because of Zlatans inexperience in such GREAT games. Okay, he can come in if the play upfront needs improvement or someone gets injured. Zlatan should be taken in, in the 2nd half. OR if Trezeguet scores :)

Looks like suicide to me. Nice to try out sometime, but not against Madrid.
They'll do a lot of attacking and we need some cover up in the midfield to counter Zidane and the possesion game that they'll play.

..........

Juve's only chance of scoring without conceding a lot is if Blasi and Emerson are playing, with Camo staying back a lot to help, and if juve pull off the "hack the ball to Zlatan" tactic while also hoping that the ball goes forward when his legs get tangled with the defenders and also hope that he does something well (like shoot towards GOAL or pass to another person) once he dribbles/smashes through.

I'd go for a 5-2-2-1 (or a tight 5-4-1) for this special occasion.

Note: I didn't add Nedved because i don't think he'll play a big part due to injury.
Code:
----------------------- Buffon ------------------------
-Zebina--Canna --Thuram--Montero--Zambro-
-------------------Blasi-----Emerson----------------
-------- Camo------------------------Del Piero------
-----------------------Zlatan---------------------------
This would even be a better formation to use in the 2nd leg if we drew or won the 1st leg.

...........
Code:
On the field, the formation will look a lot like this:
----------------------- Buffon ------------------------
--Zebina---Canna ---Thuram---Montero---------
-------------------Blasi-----Emerson---Zambrotta
-- Camo--------------Del Piero----------------------
-------------------Zlatan------------------------------
** For those of you who think i'm an idiot. I know Montero is not a LB.

He might just as well whack someone on the left flank other than in the penalty box. Why not Birindelli instead of Montero?
