Really dude?! Do you believe that BS? Luck is only a part of it.
There were also many incidents when we were lucky, so eventually incidents/occurrences even themselves out.
Blaming the lack of luck as the reason/culprit for failure is a weak and pathetic excuse for losers, not winners (at least in my book).
About the 96-98 years we were the strongest team in europe!
BUT not always the best team wins
96 We won because we were the best (along with a strong Ajax)
97 We were by far the best during the whole tournament apart from the final against Dortmund when we had an off night
98 We were better during the whole competition including the final which also consisted of Davids getting past 3 players to be left 1 on 1 with the keeper only to shoot straight to his arms...
99 I agree with you about this one! We were not the best this time and Man Utd beat us after we took 2-0 lead but they deserved to win that game!
The game Man Utd didnt deserve to win was the final against Bayern
I will give one more reference to the past - 2003!
We got past Real Madrid in a year where european teams were not strong as today (IMO) to reach the final against a mediocre Milan. The problem - Our most important player, a player which we relied on was absent due to a yellow card he got against Real Madrid - Pavel Nedved.
This created a very boring final with no excitements whatsoever.
Take this game and add Nedved to it and you can bet your ass we would have squashed them like a bug!
Yes Luck also has something to do with results and success
As for Milan getting more trophies than us on eurpoean level - This is because they did well in that competition more than us.
Incidents happen and they change things but in the long run the team that did better will win more!
There is a reason why we have 31 scudettos - Its because that usually we are the best in that competition (I agree that this competition consist of more consistency and less luck but luck is still needed!)
