Morata if alive starts in CL and plays as much as he can...type of player that even if he hides in a bowl of rice the whole match has potential to pop out in a flash and redeem choosing him.

Kulu over Morata is understandable, whoever we choose, we basically have one offensive sub and a barely-fit Ramsey for midfield/attack. Kulu has the legs to last 90 minutes and Morata probably doesn't, it leaves Pirlo more options to choose from when making a sub.

Interesting way to look at it. But its hard to not acknowledge how clutch Morata is in CL and THEN bench him.

Pirlo chose to rest key players against Napoli and we paid the price. History is not in his favor in this regard.

I think its more a tactical decision because Kulusevski is probably going to man mark someone or will fall back into a flat 5 midfield. The proposed line up appears to be very defensive, no real creativity there but I expect Chiesa and McK to break from deep on the counter.

Really wish we have kean for such games.
That kid just owned barca. Can’t believe we had him on our hands and let him go for such little money.

The talents that we are letting go will come back and haunt us.

Despite a positive result our midfield will still be sub par and we will still have a rookie head coach. Yet it's still better than the coach and squad that we had last season.
