3-5-2 is defensive system and it doesnt work for important match.every game we switch to it we are absolutely trash.Pirlo has been awful in general all season. .he was slowing us down especially when he gets back from injury.

For Monaco this isn't just a must win, but also a must not concede match. If they concede, they will have to score three goals, and scoring three is something they've done only 4-5 times this season - only against the weakest teams in France, and that one freak incident against Arsenal.
Basically, they know that if they concede they are surely out. They can't score 3 against a team that defends and doesn't leave space for counters.

This is why I expect them to play their normal game. They will defend again and wait for our mistake. Don't expect them to push forward and leave space at the back. At least not until the last minutes at 0:0.

its not about that, its about chemistry. Barzagli might be better than Bonucci and Chiellini but while he was injured most of the time these two have played together all season and got us to where we are currently. changing that now might seem too risky from Allegris point of view especially since Barzagli hasnt played in this new system so far. im sure Barzagli would do fine starting with either of Chiellini/Bonucci though

it should be the same formation that played against bvb with vidal-marchisio-pereyra..to play pirlo will be a huge risk in the defensive case..simply you can’t rely on him to close the center midfield like marchisio do..add to that his ridiculous way of trying to keep the ball which can cost us much
