Tbh I also felt Monaco deserved it more than Juventus, they played better considering the 2 games, and we got gifted a penalty in the first game. Luck has been on our side also.

Anyway I think the team needs a good rest. With a full strength 11, Pogba back and a 4 men defense with Pereyra in the middle and Marchisio as a DM, with fully rested Tevez and Morata, I say we have a good shot at Madrid. Against Bayern / Barca I don't have much hope on 2 legs, on one game maybe.

:sergio:

The penalty was not a penalty but a clear red card called 9/10 times. Playing 40 minutes against 10 men at home in the first leg, we would have likely scored 2-3 goals. Aside from that, we created double the chances in the first leg. And last night, Monaco didn't have a signal clear scoring chance. We shut them down completely. And that was with Morata and Tevez both vomiting ill, and Vidal recovering from tonsillitis.

There is no way they were the better team.

i expect us to want it more period

if we play like we did tonight against any of the remaining 3 we will get super spanked.

if you didnt find our performance tonight appalling theres nothing to discuss
Are you trolling? It's already been made known that our entire attack was ill. All three of our attacking threats, Morata, Tevez, Vidal were ill, sapped of energy. Tevez and Morata had appalling performances and it's already been revealed why. Vomiting dehydrates, dehydration leads to up to 30% reduction in muscular strength and endurance.

Unless we have another stomach virus pandemic before the Semi's, there's not a chance we see another performance like this.

And we were fucking brilliant defensively, considering we had no fit attack with which to relieve pressure. The performance tonight wasn't appalling in the slightest all things considered, it was brilliant.

congrats to everyone.

however this was a very bad performance. only reason we are in semi is because of buffon. it's unacceptable for a team of 8 best in europe to not be able to string 3 passes together or lose the ball 11 times in space of 15 minutes in dangerous places.
Yup. And this was alarming. We were pretty much mentally blocked out there. I want to think that hours before the match, the team was terrified at vidal, morata and tevez being sick...and that affected them mentally with visions of failure. Thats what i want to think because we were atrocious.

everytime I saw such plays, I know they are not part of the plan... there are massive differences between this game and the game on dortmund, the later was when everything actually went as planned, this? highly doubt it.

people are deluded and in denial if they think such game just before was the definition of 'we knew what we were doing'
Allegri himself said that a lot of things went wrong. And it showed...so it is safe to say that it was clearly not part of the plan and in fact we went out there crapping our pants.

most important than pogba return that we have to sort the $#@! out for our selves, such kind of performance against any of the 3 will be embarrassing
It will be if we do not shake this performance and show our better face.

this is the kind of matches that i cannot come up with a conclusion. i mean are we strong enough to fight against the rest?! or still we are steps behind?! very scary performance today. i thought we have overcame the CL anxiety. but looks like we still suffer from mental problems. specially when you look at chiellini slipping all the time like today. i believe that our team is more than capable to play against the teams who reached the semifinals. but all we need is to be fired up and be more motivated.
This game was pretty weird. Our key players were sick.. i that for sure affected our attacking performance. But we were super shaky in midfield and coundt string a couple passes tgether. When they pressed us...we lost the ball instantly. Good old Juve.

lol, you just described moratta who actually did $#@! (even less so than pirlo). so what we should have had was more players that run around like a headless chicken and dribble into defenders and less people who actually are able to introduce a counter by playing a long ball, right ? where do you have your football knowledge from ?

probably from here

TECMO World Cup!!!!!!! Man....those were the timess! i really enjoyed this game!

shameful performance tonight, at least against atleti we were facing a premiere team, i really feel monaco deserved more over the 2 legs; i dont know which juve will show up in the semis but it's not looking good
Well, i want to think this was just a weird game.

Congratulations to all.

From the darkest hours of 2006, to having Amauri as our biggest asset, to Molinaro being our best winger, Martinez being a marquee signing, and consecutive 7th place finishes, we deserve this semi final place after sticking with the club through thick and thin.
 very true. Even when we played like shid...and when we are by far the weakest team in the semis......Juventus brand deserves this sooo much for all the shid we have got in the past 10 years. Lets hope we make the best of this chance and truly show something special.

We are in the semis!!!! thats all that matters... but yes...we barely bested Monaco. A dubvious PK...and we could have gotten a PK against su today.... but welll lets turn the page and like you say...prepare for the upcoming games.

In the end....we are in the semifinals...and everyone around the world will see our 2 legs no matter who we face....so its the perfect scenario for us to show that Juventus is not done as a top team. A unique chance since who knows when.

The team that barely managed to create any chance deserved to go through. Bravo :slowclap:

People, eh? It's so ridiculous in here, considering we just qualified for our first Semifinal in CL in 12 years, and did so with 3 of our most important players vomiting ill during the match, not to mention Pogba out injured... and people instead of being insanely psyched on our absolutely immense and incredibly impressive defensive display, and the fact we're in the CL Semi's, are instead trashing our team and its performance, and stating the other team that had 1 single clearcut chance in 180 minutes of football should have gone through.

Great fans. Bravo.

They barely managed to create chances and so did we.

And I'm not talking about effort, it's a completely different thing. Juventus was heroic with Vidal, Tevez and Morata playing sick, Marchisio clearly exhausted. Juventus deserved to go through because guys fought really hard.

I'm talking exclusively from a performance level point of view. It was very balanced, if Monaco wasn't better overall, and we won by a non penalty.

But in terms of effort the players can't be questioned, they deserve it fully and completely.

And despite playing like shit most of time, defense is indeed a brick wall that got Juve through. Just saying that football isn't about justice, but if you take the performance, it wasn't good. Must improve

Now, Juventus has a golden chance to show the club to the world. Our performance level against Monaco is irrelevant now. It all goes to the semi finals, when the world will be watching. I doubt many people actually watched our games, since they were paired with Madrid-Atletico now, and with Barcelona fixtures before.

All I want is this team to fight till the end AND to perform well and give the opposition a hard time. Make them earn it.

But that is a big if.

We can also say " if madrid play like they did against sociedad, we will beat them easily"
Or " if Bayern play like they did against wolfsburg, we will destroy them . "
Or " if Barcelona play like they did against malaga, we will win easily. "

That is also big if.

The whole world will be watching. All the polls have Juve with the least amount of chance to progress. This is our time to shine and put us back on the map, where we belong.

Same deal. I want this team to fight as hard as they can, and I believe if they do so and play well, with a healthy squad, we stand a decent chance of progressing. We're underdogs, sure, but we have a good chance if we play up to our ability and don't have to deal with any fluke illness rampaging through the squad.

wtf is this pathetic shit

For all of us who have been fans for a long time, you can't believe what it feels like to finally, finally, be back among the elite, where we rightfully belong. Now we can begin to build back to where we should have been all these years, and finally reach the level where we would have been at if farsopoli hadn't happened. The level where Bayern is now. They don't have a Messi or Ronaldo, but they have 11 the-next-best-things.

All this because of one semifinal? You better fucking believe it. All of you, you better fucking believe it. This is the beginning. Hold your goddam heads up high.

We were on a brink of a crisis. Morata was ill, Tevez was ill, Vidal too. Damn, I feel so proud now. They managed to play in this condition and go through. This is warming my heart.:dule::theflag::flag3:

Well said. We got to this QF in the worst possible scenario, from a physical view point. Now let's close the Scudetto affair and get all our players 100% fit, including that Pogba dude

I agree with this exept about that stomach viruses of Tevez and Morata.Maybe that was why they wasn't at their usual level.

 hope you are right, but one thing is for sure id rather lose in the semis than in the final again
True.I still have a pain about that 2003 final against BBilann. That last Schevchenko penalty realy hurts me whenever I think about that.

We played a pathetic game, but now we know why and I'm more calm. But it's funny to see our usual experds calling the rest of us peasants. They were educating us about how this was the game plan, when it turns out it wasn't.

To the people/person who said Monaco deserves the semi final over two legs. I really don't know which games you watched, cause, over two legs, it should have been something like 5-2 in our favour.
