This means that Cannavaro can have one more yellow card before he gets suspended. He will play in the first game in the 2nd round for sure.

I was under the impression that from group to knockout, yellows are wiped clean, after Canna was booked, there's usually a confirmation on screen that that player will miss the next game, I didn't see that.

I think he meant that it is almost impossible that he won't get suspended before reaching the final.

Personally I think it is better he gets suspended as soon as possible, we will be needing him in the later stages

All the yellow cards stay with the players, they are wiped once the players serves the suspension. In our case, Camoranesi is starting from a clean record

After just reading Article 19 in the rules, a player who serves suspension is not treated as a clean record player, rather he is considered as if having one yellow card and will serve another suspension if he gets booked twice
