raul is definately out of BOTH games?!
He's definetely, definetely out of the first leg, but there is a slight chance that he will make it for the second leg, but even if he manages to do so I can't see him being near full fitness.

The key against Real, in any match, for me is, how well teams make their midfield compact. This was showed by Barca in Bernabeau. This means giving minimal time on settling the ball, and space. Once Real comes anywhere near penalty box then you are punished because they have such good movement and technique that they can pick that killer pass whenever they want. This depends on how you can outnumber Real in the middle of park, and out-hussel Flavio, and Makelele. Also, I feel it is important for Neved and Del Piero to move wide, and get that space which is created by lack of cover by two Real wingers, and adventurous nature of two full-backs.
Furthermore, one of two CB, has to pick up the movement of Ronaldo. There must not concede an inch of space, be it zonal or man-marking. Playing Pessetto, or Tudor, as a man-marker for Zizou could be good idea.

These are my formations for Real :

--------------------Buffon--------------------------
-Birindelli------Thuram----Ferrara----Zambo--
------------------------------------------------------
----------------Tudor--------Fresi-----------------
---Camo--------------------------------Nedved---
-------------------------------------------------------
----------------Trezeguet---Del Piero------------

OR

--------------------Buffon--------------------------
-Thuram------Fresi/iuliano----Ferrara----Birindelli----
------------------------------------------------------
-------Camo---------Tudor--------Zambo-------
----------------------Nedved-----------------------
-------------------------------------------------------
--------------Trezeguet---Del Piero-------------

I certainly prefer The 1st Formation Because we are playing Real away in spain first.
Tell me Ur Opinion.

JuVe!! I like the formations, especially te 1st for the away leg. The only thing is that I'm not so syre whats going on with Fresi, isn't he still injured. If he isn't can anyone tell me a little bit about him because I don't know much. Can he fill Tacchi or David's spot sufficiently:confused:

Personally, I prefer the second one, since I doubt whether Zambrotta as a defender and Fresi as a player against Real.
Personally I would play Thuram, Ferrara, Iluliano, Biri, defence and in midfield play Zambrotta, Tach, Tudor (man marker for Zidane), and Nedved. Play Del Piero in more midfield role alongside Trezeguet or Zalayeta, depending on the former's fitness.

IMO I think the first formation is better for the first leg in madrid,
(quit defensive style)....fresi position sholud replace by pessoto....he has better experience to marking zidane....or other Real engines...

second formation is good for us in 2nd leg.....but i don't think iuliano shouled hold for that place.....i think tudor and ferrara has good combination in centre def.....may be tudor position can be replace by conte:D

We can beat real madrid by stop Zidane and Figo....

also if Delpiero and Nedved will be in their form.

SO nothing impossible even if real m. is the dream team.
