Compare with the recent form, DP is more deserved to play than, at least Trez.
The true problem is whatever we talk here, and suppose we are right,we cannot change a single damn thing about the Del Piero's case.
It is only up to Capello to decide....

I don't think the game against Vienna will be hard, since we will be playing at home. However this is the best time to use suqad rotation as we would be facing Inter next. In fact our Serie A schedule is quite hectic, as we have tricky opponents along the way. Since Vienna is considered a rather "easier" opponent compared to the teams in the last season of CL, this is what I would go for

---------DP ------ Trez
-------------Mutu----------
---Gianni - Emerson - Camo
Zambro - Canna - Thuram - Balzaretti
---------------Abbiati--------------

In any risk of injury to either Emerson/Gianni, Blasi would be introduced as a sub. Pessotto can also play in Gianni's position, however I feel that it will be a risk.

Instead Gianni Nedved or Blasi,IMO.
Good idea of using Balzaretti,I totally forget the fact that he is here.
Nedved will be a sub for Mutu
Blasi will be a sub for Gianni
Pessotto will be a sub for Balza

and we don't need to worry about any compartment if any player happens to be injured.

i think Cap has made some decision. he will use DP. first, DP did pretty good recently and deserves a start shirt. then, Cap will leave his 'favorite' players for the Inter game. he will never use DP in such games, if he has Zlatan or Trez.

A 4-4-2 would limit our chances against a team like Rapid, that too at home. I'd like to see Capello implement a 3-4-3, even though that is unlikely and the 4-3-3 if at all would be a safer bet. A trident with Mutu behind DP- Trez or Dp-Zlatan could prove to be a fluid means of attack against an unproven quantity that is Rapid Vienna. Vieira is suspended, and that would mean Giannichedda, Emerson and Camo in midfield with a flat back four that could comprise of Kovac, Cannavaro, Zebina and Zambrotta. This however, would be the best chance to test the trident in the Champions League. Playing at home, against the weakest side in the group.

Trident sounds good, DP-Trez with Mutu behind sounds very good.
Or we can have DP - Zalayeta

We can rest Trez for our next serie A match along with Zlatan, Nedved and ofcourse Vieira.

i think:

.......abi.....

Balza.. thu... canna...zambro...

camo... emo... blasi....nedved

.........dP........trez............
i like the way u think luigi, however i have to say that gianni would give us more class in the midfield than blasi.

I also would like to see three upfront. Any combinations. Looks like alex would get a chance to shine again.

also i would like to see balza in the back for instead of the older pessoto.

Juve, in Champions niente turnover
26 09 2005

Grazia Neri
Cinque vittorie su cinque in campionato, primato a punteggio pieno.

kovac has been impressive so far this season, thuram looked a bit rusty against parma, and needs to start against rapid if he is to be ready for inter. i think this game is ideal to rest fabio cannavaro this man is incredible for the amount of games he plays and the outstanding performances. he deserves a rest.

i would also like to see chielini start at left back- give zambo a rest

in midfield camo emo gianchedda mutu(who played well v parma)

i dont think any of our strike force can complain of been tired i would like for cap to start the two strikers he will start against inter, we will need confident sharp strikers against inter.

i would give zlatan 90 mins he badly needs a goal, and then maybe a half each for DP and Trez

Abbiati

blasi thuram kovac cheillini

camo emerson giani mutu

zlatan ???? im undecided between Dp/trez

Champions League is our primary objective this season; therefore I think we should play our best players against Rapid. At least to start off with. If we in the second half are winning convincingly - which we should be - we can make three early substitutions and rest some players.

We can't risk losing points tomorrow and if we rotate too many players there is a chance that we might not play as well as we usually do. I think this was the case against Parma. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for rotation. But I don't think we should change more than, say, 3 players per game. There is no point in rotating too much. If a player plays three games every two weeks then he should be fine; he doens't need to be rested more. If Zlatan starts against Rapid, I'm sure he would still be 100 % for the Inter game. We also need to make use of a player's good form. When Trez was on fire in the first couple of games he should have kept playing. Same with DP; after two good games against Ascoli and Udinese, he should've played against Parma. I think it would be unfair if he doesn't start tomorrow.

I'm actually quite glad that Vieira's suspended tomorrow. He's been one of our best players so far and has played every game as far as I can remember. He needs a rest and the game against Rapid is a game in which we should be able to do without him. I don't think we'll be able to rest him much later on - he is simply too important for us.

I'm not too worried about tomorrow's game though, as long as the players don't underestimate Rapid.

I would play this formation:

---------------------Abbiati--------------

Zebina----Thuram-----Canna-------Zambo

Camoranesi----Emo----Gianni------Nedved

--------------Ibra---------DP------------

Then I would make the following subs:

Zambrotta - Chiellini (half-time)
Nedved - Mutu (60th)
Ibrahimovic - Trezeguet (70th)

What do you guys think?

Btw, will we be able to watch this game online?

Rapid - Juve 0-3 (Ibra x 2, DP)

Forza Juve!!!
